Thank you all for taking the time to report this issue!
I will be happy to ask the studio to have a look, but could you please confirm if this happens while playing both on FB and mobile devices?
Is there any specific level this happens on, and if so, can you give us an example?
I would guess it is not a trending topic Deryck because nowadays the game is less about points and more about just being grateful when you actually complete a level. That is, the levels are that difficult no one has the time/gold/boosters to afford to replay the levels until they get Sugar Stars, or even three stars.
I tried this morning and I confirm that the issue happens in the PC, both playing through Facebook or not, and also in the mobile phone.
I have also noticed that sometimes, with most frequency in the matches of the blue microphones, the score did not change at all in that move, no matters if the simple match produces other combinations or not.
It's interesting you found a post from Oct. 9th capturing the issue, @Alienscar. For me it only began after the most recent Cauldron event/Meghan microphone, etc. That is, from Thurs.(?) to now. I didn't play until Sat. night so didn't notice if it existed sooner. But the issue definitely wasn't present for me during the second to last Cauldron event.
I suspect the post you linked is different from what I'm referring. The new scoring mechanism glitch results in the inability to get even more than 1 star on all levels. @QueenB I face this issue on the Win 10 app, and for me it affects every level. Yeah, even level 1. 🙄
@QueenB I apologize my self for not being able to upload directly the video, but the chat did not allow the mp4 format, so I upload the video in .rar format. There is a complete video of playing the level 5162. Is possible to see:
1) The scoring system is quite different that in the past, and there are moves (for example, the starting move), that the score is consistently less that before.-
2) In the moves 16 and 6 of the video; I tried to match only blue microphones. As you can see in the video, in that case the score did not grow: the points achieved are the same, without variation.-
3) In the move 13 of the video, the match of blue microphones scores zero points; but the combinations produced because of the dropping candies makes the score grow.-
I guess that the problem is something related to the blue microphones, but I'm not an expert. In any case, I agree with @Deryck that the problem seems to appear in every level.-
