Well, my between the lines conclusion is that he assumed there was one. I personally don't remember ever seeing an exit button in CCS, therefore it can't be brought back, as it never existed. So I take this as a suggestion for them to introduce one. 🤔
It would be handy indeed. Especially now with this stupid enforced fullscreen mode.
In case your post is more about being unable to leave the app than getting a designated exit button, you could slide your finger from the top of your screen down a bit in order to activate the notifications bar as well as the virtual navigation keys at the bottom for a couple of seconds, which should give you enough time to press the "Back" or "Home" button.
Otherwise I support your request for an "Exit" button in-game. đź‘Ť

No I don't think I am @Doondie. As far as I know there has never been an 'exit' button in Candy Crush, so it can't be returned. Reading between the lines I guessed that maybe this is a complaint about not being able to 'exit' using the navigation buttons.

Game being in fullscreen, i.e. virtual navigation buttons not showing, is not related to there being no in-game "Exit" button (on the right of the sound button on his screenshot).
Hi @Courtney1990 the issue of the missing 'exit' button is a known issue and it is a change introduced by King in September.
The issue has been reported to the Game Team by @QueenB but we haven't heard anything new recently.
