⭕ Why can't I play in landscape mode anymore? Game too small!

I uninstalled it then reinstalled. It went back to landscape until I closed it..then back to portrait. Not happy plus lost my boosters! Maybe next time i delete it will be until I know for sure that this problem is fixed!

On my iPad mini candy crush has recently locked in portrait orientation. It has not done this on desktop or phone. I have tried all possible solutions listed here and on the net. Is this possibly some sort of test by King that will solve itself in the future?

Yes...I had previously read your answer but since it was from 12/22/22 and this just happened to me this week I thought it might be something different than this old test.

You bet it's a different thing. The first "test" ended at some point, as per players' reports. I didn't get it the first time around. Now the bug is back but this time more people, if not everyone, got affected, myself included. I'm only talking about the browser version, since I don't have a tablet. It seems mostly iPad users are complaining. The bug appeared without an app update, btw.
I don't know why @QueenB lets moderators merge new threads into this huge old thread when it's clearly not the same issue. Plus, there's been no new statement on the subject. Feedback - which wasn't even sought by the devs - is overwhelmingly negative, yet this "test" is still ongoing. It's a major setback for the studio.

It’s actually really annoying playing portrait mode on
my iPad. Why don’t you give an option for us to choose which mode we would like. Most iPads have a proper stand case and that doesn’t work in portrait properly
bring back landscape or give the the choice to players

Please opt me out of this testing…I hate playing in portrait mode on my iPad. It is a PITA!

If Candy Crush/King is doing a test, is it too hard to include an 'opt out' button? I literally cannot play it the way it is. Not helpful, guys!

I'm betting it is related to their "new map" which shows up in my portraight oriention on the ipad and is another thing to hate. Although I read some comments from some of the folks they asked if they liked the new map and some were in favor. However, those against were vehement in there opposition.
