"WHY??...?" you ask. The answer is simple. One or more bean counters at King are probably tasked with the job of continually identifying and reviewing levels which, in the view of management, may be making it too easy for players to collect purple candies, green candies, color bombs, fish or whatever. Many years after its original design, level 1476 (almost impossible to lose) recently became a victim of this process. Even more recently, level 9524 (a fish collection level with a low probability of losing a life) was reprogrammed to ensure a high probability of losing a life.
There is a "star tournament" at the end of the game. They say it should give a multiplier for events, but I have not tried it. If you get to the end the levels are so hard you can't pass them easily to get enough violet candy.

You are correct. Our levels up in the 13000 range are very hard to complete. Send me back to the 500 level I can Crack off maybe 5 sagas with a single life and no resources required. Lately I'm finding that I can't beat even one level without some form of resource spent. If i use no resources some levels took me about 100 lives to beat. And i probably still used something to finish it. Game board seems to destroy setups before I want to execute and like wise avoids cascade where it's preferred. By the way levels with purple candies that are also beatable are still available but there are few. There are 2 that I know of and the average score would be 350 purple per beat. However they will only be of use in a tight race. Not where you get blown away by low level players that can pass 80 new levels a day. I'd consider a great day when I can oass 10. I managed the semi final but it was costly.
How many purple candies did it produce? Was it a new level for you or an old one?

They have removed purple candies from level 9563...it now only has yellow and orange 😪
Not anymore now you have to collect 500 red to pass 728 how evil that game is!
Collecting Purple Candies is already hard enough, now they removed in level 1000 the purple Candies! WHY?????????? PLEASE BRING BACK THE PURPLE CANDIES IN LEVEL 1000!!!!
Can not use level 1000 anymore for purple candy all have been changed to red candy why can't things be left alone and quit screwing with every body
Sad to say no more level for purple candies. Some do have but not as much as the 1000 level. We were right then that there will be a change in this level.
I played 12,117 today for purple and it is changed to yellow there too. So it's not only lowered levels that changed.
This morning I had old map and purple candy collection. My screen jumped while playing when I checked map it was the new style. I then noticed my purple collection was gone.
Now I see the old map is back but still no purple collection.
I was playing when my screen went to the orange king screen and it came back with the crazy layout.
I'm not going to bother trying because they're obviously having issues with this valentine's event while rolling out all these other changes.
Make sure you check your GB count when you win episode race. I'm not always receiving the GB for winning the race. 🤬

Tbh, it's not such a bad change. What I don't like is they didn't say a word about it. The real problem, however, is they are putting the top players at disadvantage because of the x10 bonus from new levels.

I agree it took 3 runs or so but I was prepared from previous leaderboard events when it would give a dash (—) instead of one's rank.
@Doondie you are most correct some of the levels used for purple candy collection have changed.
I thought that the contest had messed up also. Instead of taking 1 level (or attempt at) it took 3 levels to get the contest to come up. I really thought that I was not going to get it at all.
So if they have a green candy event we can expect green candies to disappear from all of the levels below 8000 as well? Lol they keep going with stuff like this there won’t be any colors left.
Dunno if there are more but there are some in the milestone levels 8-9ooo.
Following today's unannounced change, older known levels no longer even have purple candies.
