Can I log out without losing boosters etc?

Hi, if someone else wants to play on my device and I log out so that they can log into their account, will my boosters, progress etc all still be saved when I log back in?

(I wouldn't be deleting the app, just switching accounts)

This is via the app on a Samsung tablet, I'm too frightened to let them do it atm in case everything is gone when I come back!

Hi there,

As long as you're both using King accounts and don't reinstall the app, there's nothing for you to worry about. Your level progress, gold bars, boosters and events won't be affected.

If the game account of either of you is linked to a Facebook account, make sure you don't log in through Facebook. And if you're already logged in through Facebook and you also have a King account, then make sure you log out of both before letting someone else use your device. In any case, restart the game after logging out. You may have to repeat an older level after logging in in order to refresh your Events tab.

Just remember:

1. Don't log in through Facebook;

2. Restart the game after logging out and make sure the map is starting from level 1;

3. Do not delete app data, otherwise you'll lose your boosters. It's the same as reinstalling the game.

It's very tempting to free up a few hundred MB of data indeed. However, this will erase your account data from the app, which includes level progress, gold bars, lives, friends, streaks and boosters.

While level progress, gold bars and friends (and even streaks) are also stored on the game server, provided you are connected to the Internet, boosters and lives are only stored locally on your device and once gone, they are gone for good.

Yes, you could easily create another King account (through the app) and switch seamlessly between the two. Just remember not to use the Facebook login option. Having an alt account gives you a different perspective - levels feel different with the skill and knowledge you already have, and you get to see some layouts and features that weren't available when you first played the game, and you get to kill time between new episode releases, or one could just start fresh.

Many thanks @Doondie! That's so helpful, and makes sense. It's really good to know that you and others actually do this in reality with no issues. I hadn't thought about personally having a second account, but it's actually a good idea because I'm getting quite near the end now- high 13000's- and was thinking about somehow starting right back at the beginning to pass the time while waiting for new levels to be released. Presumably I could create a different account to do this and switch between the two?

Also many thanks for the annotated illustration, that CLEAR DATA button looks really tempting for a storage 'tidy up' and is exactly the sort of button I'd happily unknowingly press!!!

You can have 100 separate game accounts and play them all day long if you like. There's a glitch with the Facebook login only. If you use King accounts, nothing can go wrong. I personally have 4 accounts (now 3 after the aforementioned Facebook login glitch). A forumite has 6 without issues.

The only consideration is the app size. The more accounts you have/use and the longer you play, the bigger it gets.

Hi!

Thanks for that, I'm still curious if the app is only *designed* to handle just a single account? I'm thinking that other apps, like those for a shop or bank, allow one person to sign out and then someone else can sign in to use their own account via the same app.

Maybe CC is different, but it seems odd that there's no definite answer (that's not a criticism AT ALL, I'm grateful for all your comments!) just advice and opinions. Thanks again!

It seems that the 'official' answer is that it's a potentially risky thing to do (so I'd only have myself to blame if everything disappeared!) but, as you say @Doondie, in practice, the app can handle a switch between two accounts, which is what I'd sort of presumed, but wanted to check. Thank you for the tips on doing it correctly, I'll let you know if I decide to try it!

Yes! There is a risk of losing our boosters, but level progress will be intact! The risk is only for boosters and progress of special event(s)🙃 I have experienced it on my iPad, in a different King game though!!

I would suggest you try it only if you have very few boosters!

Progress can get synced and the account with the lowest progress will catch up with the one that is on a higher level.

Also, boosters and saved up lives gets saved on the device and by connecting another account, that might have an affect on your inventory.

We usually recommend deleting the game app before handing over a device that someone else might be using to also play the game so there aren't any account sync issues.

Hello, good day. I am sending an email from Iran. We connect with VPN to play your game. For several days now, it keeps saying "Please restart or try again later". It keeps saying "Please do not reinstall the game". It cannot connect. It cannot go online and cannot use the rewards. What happened???
