Correct, they don't. They have closed this discussion several times. They will bury this thread when one of the moderators sees it, hide it from view to suppress complaints. As far as they are concerned the matter is no longer open for discussion.
I have a keyboard, too, so I know how you feel, for what it's worth. King actually, really, don't care about us.

We do not know if it is going to be permanent or temporary!! But, for now, it is a test which was being held on all mobile devices!
I agree with you both! I use an iPad to play the game and it is very inconvenient to hold it while playing in Portrait mode!!
I hope the Candy Team listens to our feedback and changes their decision🤞

Played this for over 7600 levels and it changes - that’s it for me.

Cannot adapt to the portrait mode for too many reasons to list. If this becomes a permanent feature I will be leaving the game. 14,000 levels and a lot of money spent!

Played this game almost from beginning. Loved playing it and contributed to it often with purchases. No more. I cannot stand the portrait mode. No one considered how many of us play on iPads. On my mini I am either fighting the power cord, or turning it off, or changing volume. Sorry, this is one player who probably will be looking for a new game.

I have several Samsung tablets and I CANNOT view in landscape on any of them anymore. You've completely ruined the experience of the game. One of my tablets is very large and the Portrait mode has the game squished into one-third corner of the screen. Why did you think this was a good idea? I don't even want to play the game anymore and I've been playing for years. You've ruined it. CHANGE IT BACK.

Like so many of you, I play CC on my iPad and the landscape mode is so much better than vertical. Hopefully King will reconsider this colossal misstep.

Why can't we play in landscape mode anymore???? This new version/glitch doesn't work well on a tablet. I dont want to have to hold my tablet while playing. Bring back the other version so we can choose which mode to play on.

I just got forced to play in portrait mode with my last update. This is totally a show stopper for playing on my iPad. The iPad architecture does not lend itself to doing anything in portrait mode because of the power cord connection. In addition, very few iPad protective covers support using portrait mode. Please fix this. I will not be playing until it is restored.
