Fish booster no longer splits into 3 fish?

Has the behavior of the fish booster changed? I don’t mean the “fishing season” thing where you match 4 candies to make a fish. I mean the original fish booster and/or the buoy fish. Activating/matching those always gave me 3 fish at a time, but now I only get one fish. Is this a glitch, or is this a permanent new behavior?

If the latter, I really wish players had been told about it first. I wasted a striped candy thinking I could combine it with a fish booster to get 3 striped fish, but nope: as of today, that combo creates just a single fish. The fish used to be helpful, but now they’re mostly useless. If it matters, I’m at level 3439 but I noticed this happening a few levels ago.

There was an update for iOS on Aug, 8th. It appears that they have fixed the fishes splitting into 3 issue now. I haven't tested it with mixing it with other boosters yet to see what the behavior looks like. I'm assuming it will be the old behavior. It almost seems like they've just rolled back to a previous version's functionality because Fishing season (matching 4 in a square) is no longer is supported.

Hi Elph Z, I never got it so I sure hope they bring it back and I get it too. I think it's similar to the Fishing Season in either Soda or Jelly because I remember that those games you can match 4 fish to equal a square.

Hi guys, I believe that the fishing season was a test. I never got it so whoever got it was randomly picked to test it. I guess it's up to the studio whether they plan to make it for everyone. If I hear anything about it I'll let all of you know.

@Lee Roberts per, "Is the removal of "fishing season" (match four in a square to make a fish) intentional, will it be coming back at all?" I hope so because I was about to abandon Candy Crush and just use Soda but then they came out with Fishing Season. Without it it's too frustrating. I hate it.

We get a lot of the credit for helping people, but I think a lot of that credit actually goes to the players who take the few minutes to come here and tell the Teams about glitches or errors or when something isn't quite right. We can't do it without you guys, and I mean that. You're an important part of this team, and I want to say thank you to all the players too. @Nick--no worries, friend! I read (and write and speak) fluent typo. I got what you meant, so it is all good. I have heard that it is now fixed, so can you check to see if it is working for you? Hopefully all is well for you too!

Yep, now that they’ve removed “fishing season” with the last app update, the fish are back to normal. They split into 3 (hooray!), the fish + striped and wrapped candy combos are working correctly, and the fish are targeting much better now.

Thanks for the heads up, Amanda! I hadn’t noticed the fish rollback over the weekend because I was still actively avoiding fish.

Please make fixing the jellyfish booster glitch a priority. People only want to play games when they are fun, but this glitch is sucking the fun right out of it:(

Than i uninstalled candy crush. Re installed the old version and made sure that the app doesnt update automatically. I lost my boosters but hey. The fish booster works=)

Hi everyone, The last couple of days I'm not able to watch any ads (for extra moves or lives) :( did this feature disappear? I already tried re-installing the app, but after connecting the app to fb again, I lost some cassettes and still no ads :(
Frustration
why is it you’ve basically made it impossible to pass levels unless the player pays for extra moves??? This game has become a joke! I’ve played the level I’m on about 100 times and never came close to passing if??? Is this just a money grab at this point because it 100% feels that way!!!
In app purchases
Cannot make in app purchases. Works one day then goes for weeks with “cannot connect”. I’ve tried all the suggested fixes but nothing works! King is losing money. Please fix!
