Sorry about this Laurie. King is limiting the options for players like yourself who are in advanced levels. Taking away the opportunities to get free boosters while making the levels harder to pass.
I would suggest not playing at all for a week…maybe the ads will come back.

Thanks for the information, @cookiemae! Honestly, though, that irritates me even more, as it means I don't have the 10 Gold Bars offered for SOME silly reason. Likely testing the waters to see if they can pull them from everyone by removing them from a certain group of users (like how the levels needed to win Candy Royal fluctuate from player to player).

Thanks for explaining. I played the game myself on a new login, starting in March and found to my surprise that I really enjoyed it and it felt like the good old times. Then what is happening is that new players are being favoured and treated to lots of easy boards and fun events while they are trying to drive out the ones at the top who never spend any money. Out of curiosity, which levels are you currently playing at @teeweiping ?

I am at 14121 .... but of late it is simply no longer a fun game.. CCS offers crazily 500 gold bars if we cross 8 levels, 50 bars if we clear 30 levels in 5 hours an so on... but off late CLEARING EVERY LEVEL YOU NEED ATLEAST 40-50 MOVES !!!! CLEARING EVERY LEVEL EVEN WITH BOOSTERS IF NOT POSSIBLE AT THE FIRST GO.... CRAZY .. THIS GAME HAS BECOME....

I stopped at level 2256. I'm not much playing this game. I think Candy Crush Soda or Candy Crush Friends is easier to pass the levels if compared with Candy Crush. But I didn't play CCSS and CCFS also because I don't have any motivation to keep playing now. I just check the side game of Candy Crush Soda occasionally.

They may have made some changes to maintain a balanced and enjoyable gameplay for everyone.
While free boosters might be limited, you'll find that these adjustments often lead to exciting new features and opportunities down the road. Plus, the challenge of harder levels can be an excellent chance for you to showcase your skills and strategic thinking.
Remember, you've come this far because of your talent and dedication!
I'm confident that you'll overcome any obstacles and continue to enjoy the game's thrilling journey but if it doesn't not bring you any more joy, it's always a good a idea to take a break from the game and try again after a while 😉

I’m curious about what you mean by “balanced gameplay for everyone”. Do you mean a balanced blend of easy & difficult? Because the higher you go in the game, levels are almost all difficult, even when not marked so.
There is no “balance” in the events available in-game. I’m competing in the episode race with people with banners showing 1000, or 4000. I’m in the 11000s so while they pass a couple of hundred levels a week I’m lucky to pass 30.
I’ve never had ads in my game, despite playing for over 9 years. So if I’m competing against players who receive ads I don’t stand a chance.
There is so much inequality between what is available in players’ games. How can King claim any kind of balance?

I clear levels without booster ever week.Being at the top of the game when new levels are released I usually have about 38-40 moves available to me but playing CC from the beginning I have massive amounts of boosters that I don't use because I have so many moves available to me on new releases. So yes it is possible to complete levels without boosters.

@cookiemae Is there a reason you are making us all jealous and angry here by showing us your privileged status with King? I bet you still can play in landscape mode as well...?. And where ever did you get 99+ party boosters? You get those as a gift from King? Do they pay you with boosters? This is what level 14470 looks like for the mortals here. So yes, 25 moves and of course in portrait mode only.
