Well I'm glad that you finally got a new event in your game π but that's a kind of a bad joke that it appeared so late! The gems so unevenly distributed amongst the new levels, I hope that it takes you as little as it took Carol to complete the hunt and that you are not still at it π€π

The green gems must be very arbitrarily distributed as you said - I could only get five green gems after playing and winning 30 levels straight (used gold bars to do it). It seems that these green gems are a cynical way to burn down player's boosters and gold bars as they chase non-existent green gems.

It's certainly designed to prompt players to play new levels. Which platform are you playing on? I've noticed that, out of the two platforms I use, facebook was the slowest to drop the reskinned candies (average 1.5 per episode) and I actually gave up the event in view of the poor reward for the effort and time spent (did not include mastery points)

I have this event and yesterday I played 45 new levels for collecting a pure prize. This week are 120 new levels (on Microsoft application) and I guess that this event will continue. Hope the prize will be better.Β

Hello @Tzvi_Marcu in my game I have to find 8 green gems. Was it the same in your game? Did you have to play all 45 levels just to collect 8 gems?

The Gem Hunt it is not an enjoyable event.

@Alienscar Yes, Not all the levels are with green candies, and the Gem candies appear rarly

I got all the gems eventually on my second game, but strangely they were absent from all the CandyRoyale levels I played, which of course also requires you to pass levels on your first try. I think this was also the case in my other game, so you can't catch two birds in one go. (I wouldn't like to kill any birds, ever...) . Not a fun event, rather frustrating. I had to play two episodes to get those last two gems I was missing, a real poor show. I won't pay much attention to the leaderboard when it comes. Though I now also have the Master tokens. I'm not sure how to get onto the gold box for that one in the next four days that I have, are there any more seasonal events? I'm not sure how that works, it's a bit unclear.

Thanks @Tzvi_Marcu I have said elsewhere that the Gem Hunt is nothing more than a modified version of the collect Golden Crowns events that we see so often. The fact that you have to complete 45 levels just to collect 8 gems and a few boosters makes it worse. As you said we now know why they have released 120 levels.
