Let me add my frustration again to this thread. I am fed up with having to play a sideways game with candies "dropping" from left to right on my iPad. I know landscape is still possible because a few weeks again it came back for an hour or so. Turns out that was glitch, but it proved it is possible to bring it back. PLEASE DO!

Wow, after reading the discussion page it is apparent there are so many problems with the game that did not exist before the so called improvements were made. I don’t even know how they can all be fix except to to reset it back to the beginning of the game and get rid of all the changes that have been made.
