🏆 Candy Cup - Play for Fun, Win for Days 🎉

I was looking over the rules and noticed that the quarter final is from Friday 10 Nov to Thursday 16 Nov. 6 days is a long time! Why are all the other quests only 3 days?

The second chance quarter final is during the same time? Tuesday 14 November to Thursday 16 November.

Am I reading this wrong?

That's right, it's Izzy! She could never feel any better after spending days floating off a bad leg injury she suffered during the Halloween horror when Bubblegum Troll prankishly turned her into the giant, monstrous Sour-Pent! After ONE hour in. Competing in this is just not worth the effort

I play two, maybe three episodes per day but as the top three qualify maybe it will be enough. I wonder if joining late would still be a feasible strategy but I didn't try that this time round. I started all three games early on to see if my game at level 96 would get an advantage. I think that players are apparently indeed randomly allocated to their groups as they start playing. I see very similar scores in the top position of all three leaderboards now, scores ranging from 120,000 to 170,000 with 63 hours to go.

It does all seem to just be about how many new levels you can get through in the time allocated though. With the x30 multiplier and also the removal of end of level cascades there is little gameplay involved. Even if I know I will pass the level, playing for more greens is no longer possible even on 9x9 boards with lots of moves left. No, the game just drops the candies that will finish the game NOW, so I never manage to collect lots of green trophies. That used to be the winning strategy, months ago, in competitions like this one. But oh no, King want to keep every aspect of the game under tight control (maybe they are doing test runs for a return of All Stars?) so they stop the most experienced players from getting the most green candies, and of course they no longer show us our score either, so we don't even KNOW how many special candies we managed to collect. I must point out here @QueenB that this takes away the fun and the strategy for players and might be a reason why there is so little enthusiasm in the community about these events now. It IS ALL ABOUT how many level you pass now. Nothing else. And that just makes it a bit boring.
