they are saying they will restore it but not done yet

There was a problem with this for a lot of player and some did get the gold refunded after contacting support. Check out this thread.
You must have a Stable Network connection so that you can easily claim gold bars.
have won 52 champions race but didn’t get my gold bars in the 49th one
pls look into it
