Do you know why I'm not getting my free play time?

Question

I reach keys and it says I get 1 or 2 hours of free play ... but it does not happen.  I use an iPad and I have noticed on it that my volume display keeps disappearing and I have to do a hard shut down to get it back.  Is it possible another app could be causing these things to occur?  Got any suggestions?

Still having the problem.  I am told I get 1 free hour of play for opening the treasure chest.  I do not leave or close the game but the 1-hour infinity time never begins.
