So Close! Anyone Else Getting This New Feature?

Now when I have nearly completed a level I get a pop-up that says I will get a reward after failing a few times.

I have only received the UFO from this feature once in the last three weeks that it has been available. It seems okay as a feature, but as it only pops up when you scrape through a level you can't keep track of your progress. As I haven't seen it that often I can't make my mind up if it only works the first time you fail a level.

I had it in my game for a while, in November I think. It was useless. On one occasion I got a UFO out of it, and as @Pyrolight suggested I did find that UFO less helpful than when I play my own. It's another test feature we might as well ignore.

Ya that would be a lot nicer. Likely they have 2-3 versions of it like most everything else they test heh.

The ideal I think would be setting it to 6 or 8 per UFO. It would make it a pretty good feature and not overpowered since "so close" is not exactly that common.

Thanks @Pyrolight the first and only time I managed to fill it, it was made up of five segments. Based on your findings looks like I was lucky.

What I have noticed about it:

Tiffi, on the loss screen has to say so close for it to even count. Toffee always says so close haha
Only ever is a UFO
Works as many times on a level as times you get so close
It has 3 "levels", 8 so close, 16 and 32 then goes back to 8 and so on (no confirmed numbers just a guess based on the times I had it.)
It does not always show the so close fill screen even when you actually would trigger it. ie larger than expected jumps in the fill bar
The UFO does not act like the in level version as far as improving your luck. It is basically just 3 wrapped candies and because of that can actually be 100% useless. Could also have been due to the winter event race going. I thought it did improve the level but 3 times in a row it did nothing in my last test run through on the 1st of Jan.
It seems to be based on the algorithm as far as "so close", ie moves to win. You can have 10 jellies to clear and see so close or 3 and not see it.
