Level 171

I’m trying to complete level 171 in candy crush but it’s only giving me 12 moves to make 10 striped candies. I’ve read the level is supposed to be 35 moves. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app but nothing is working.

Hi Orkun, I am just the messenger and was told to give that notice. I agree with you and everyone else that dropping the number of moves like they have been doing is just not right. As a volunteer, I am told that they test the levels before they are released by randomly choosing players to try them. I actually was one of those random testers just for one episode. They monitor these players to see how difficult or easy the levels are and then they "tweak" them upon release. Then if they see that too many players are having difficulty they might tweak it again. Before Activision bought them out, I liked that game much better than this. They never changed the number of moves. Yes they were difficult and very challenging and some players would be stuck on a level for weeks but it's much different now. The studio is trying out different things such as challenges, and new blockers and I was told that the number of players still playing the game has increased and not decreased as we are all thinking. I am not privy to that data but figure with millions of players, we are all addicted, with the exception of a handful that actually do give it up. All that I can do as a volunteer is help the players here, report glitches to them and report back to the players here with their responses.

Hi Elsa, thanks for you reply and effort. Actually worked out the trick to it and finally got through but I think the developers are setting some extreme targets. Level 188 you get 12 moves to clear 38 jellies. That is now the next hurdle. I was originally a lot fighter in the game but for some reason my game reset early this year and I started from scratch. Doing it the second time around I am sure there are a lot more hurdles built into it. If they want to keep players they will need to drop it back a notch as this should be enjoyable and not be made a chore. Otherwise it’s the best way to make people lose interest.

This is also happening to me, and I'm getting VERY frustrated. That doesn't even mathematically add up to be possible. You have to not only make 10 bombs, but also set them off using another move.

I’m having this same problem. It’s extremely frustrating!! It has to be a scam to make you spend money. They make it almost impossible to beat this level otherwise. I just started playing again after quiting for 2 years and think I’m just going to delete the game again.

Hey Elsa. I’m in the same boat with 12 moves to get 10 striped candy but your link doesn’t make sense to me. I had heaps of special candy saved up until this level and I have spent a week and every thing I had and still not got anywhere. What is the point of making a level unpassable. After a week trying to complete it I’m ready to delete candy crush now. Any info aside from your posted link above would be apprecated.

Hi Zack, there have been quite a few complaints posted here in the last couple of weeks regarding the number of moves being changed for specific levels. I am keeping track of this weekly and then turning the list over to them every Monday. I will add your message to the list.

I’ve spent a week trying to get through this impossible level. I thought that there was some special thing about this level that I was missing. 12 moves is nowhere near enough to get 10 striped. And I’m not gonna use and lose all my boosters just to beat a broken level

I have had same problem for a week impossible !!! But after reading this I went on and did it straight away you need two candy strip combos or more!!

I’m stuck on this level too. Burned through all of my boosters and don’t have enough bars to buy lives. It would be nice if we could send other players lives or at least have a few more moves to get all 10 striped candies! Seems impossible....

Despite all the complaints, is someone ever gonna do something about it?? You keep saying that you’re getting back to them about the issue , but no actions have been taken to solve the problem. It is really frustrating and i am really thinking of uninstalling the app soon if it doesn’t change.

Sorry, Elsa, but we all know what the real reason is for fewer moves, making near-impossible levels. $$$$! Buy more boosters. Make them more profitable.

After spending 4 days and countless tries I am about to uninstall the game. It was fun while it lasted but seriously... 10 striped candy in 12 moves when I even get "no more moves" and all the candy get rearranged 2 times? There is seriously something wrong with this level and I am not going to spend all my boosters on this level (it's useless anyway).

I also have this question, and it’s ridiculous how they expect us to be able to get 3 stars with only 12 moves. The level is passable, but it shouldn’t be near this difficult. This level has ruined the game for me. Revert it back to 35 turns or you’re going to lose a lot of users.

Only 12 moves is damn near impossible, burnt through all my boosters and still stuck after more than 20 attempts. Extremely frustrating.

Edit: over 30 attempts now. Bloody joke. I refuse to pay for boosters, and if I can't clear this level soon then I'll be happy to delete the game.

Same. Level 171 needs to have more moves and no obstacles. I am not sending money to get boosters. Has anyone had any luck in uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

Is there a moderator on the forum anymore? This glitch just started today, the new levels that were just added are not syncing across my devices. All are up to date.
