@teenybee I always use the star tournament. It works fine for the end of the mappers.
Omg how did I not realise that?!! What an absolute idiot I am. I never tried it, assuming it was the same as Pass X levels, which always means new ones unless they’re ticked.

You can always pass an old hard level. It doesn't have to be a new level.

Repeating two of the four options is sneaky enough. But to make it even more unfair on players at the top of the map, the last 7 episodes released (from 16491 up) have no levels at all marked as hard or worse (and not because they’re nit hard). Last time I thought this was an oversight due to All Stars. But now that it’s happened again this week it’s starting to look deliberate.
Twice now I’ve missed out on a gold box (one with 10 gold bars, and the other with 20 ie the 2nd gold box I got) because the final and only ‘task’ option for the 4th chocolate was to pass hard levels.
For the gold box you really just have to go with the "level" option regardless as it will might be the only non use 2-3 UFO/Popper option. Basically while hidden, which is annoying, you really don't have any options.
As to the impossibility of levels first try, ya luck of the draw on that one.
It would be nice to see all the options in the chocolate box as we could before the change. Once you pass a choice to see the others, it is too late to go back. Choices might be helpful especially on a box that has the valued gold bars. Of course, the choice for gold bars is almost impossible for most of us. How can we play unplayed levels when we can't pass one that is impossible without extra moves and we can't get extra moves because the chocolate box is impossible. Please go back to being able to see all the choices in the chocolate box.
I still have the 10 gold bars offered, BUT there are some ridiculous tasks to complete! Especially on the forth one. They really should have it where you can see what you're getting so you can make a good choice. Win 20 unplayed levels is crazy, or 4 ufos or 3 party poppers! They don't like to give away gold for sure!
Oh well, at least we're all as bad as each other 🙄
Haha talk about synchronicity @Carol-38 and @christinewupp I went through my number four Chocolate Box option yesterday but didn't get a chance to post.

I don't think the game can possibly know if we have boosters in our inventory @Pyrolight because they are stored on our devices and anyone playing on two devices may have lots on one, none on the other, they aren't linked to our player ID. The information about our boosters, so King always claim, is not stored on King's servers and so I doubt they can access that information. However, as you stated, this was not my first gold box, I think I had gone through at least three I had completed with a levels task, and I think you are right in assuming that they have made this deliberately hard to achieve to kick me out of gold boxes. I have a few UFOs but I bought these with gold. Had I known the last option would be 2 party poppers then I would have stayed with the 3 UFO option, but of course, it's a guessing game what the last option will be and I was of course hoping for a levels one!
You must have a few of those boosters stocked up. Mine is on a 5 min timer and I always see one level one, even if it is nasty like the 15 levels in one try.
I have a feeling if you get back to gold it will more often than not do boosters for the last one if you still have any.
Otherwise the first 3 can always be something very doable but a large number of them. The boxes seem to have had their requirements increased.
We must have both been concentrating on the Chocolate Box this morning @christinewuppAgain I scrolled up and down the map to complete the first three then wham, like you mine weren't good. Took 'The Dare' and screenshots this time @Alienscarget new levels tomorrow but even so, passing 15 levels in one try is a big ask 😒

I have just had to abandon my latest gold chocolate box @Carol-38 . Like you I had scrolled back to fulfill the demanding tasks. The first one had been 850 red candies, then 2300 or so purple candies and I can't recall the other task, but all could be done by scrolling back to play older levels. But the final task was disappointing: no choice of new levels passed at all. These were my four choices (in that order), non of them worth the 10 gold bars.
Ahhhh so I did see pass 17 unplayed levels twice, thought I was losing my marbles.
I did cycle through the other two changes and they were exactly the same again as these two.
Thanks for showing that Christine, looks very similar to what I had. Looks like you've still got another 2 changes, I wouldn't dream of asking you to do it but wonder what they would be 🤔
I am also playing old levels to fill up my new gold box today. Now I am on the last choice. There are only these two choices to cycle through:
New levels are far too hard to get through today. I hope that maybe I can complete it and get the gold on Monday.
I played it yesterday @Alienscar and wish I had taken screenshots of all the tasks required. I will if I get it again. I didn't change the 1st one thought I'd just play the green candies. I believe the 2nd was nearly as many red so I changed and got gummi dragons. Can't remember the 3rd think it might have been striped candies after changing 3 times, but again a ridiculous amount.
**The last one was to complete something like 17 levels on the 1st try, then I'm sure I got 17 unplayed levels, then party boosters then back to 17 unplayed levels. I'm sure it was 17 unplayed levels on the 1st change as on the 3rd change I thought, I've already had that. So wish I'd taken screenshots, as my head was buzzing with all the scrolling and playing the tasks, I can't remember exactly what each one was. Think they should change the name from Chocolate Box to 'I Dare You Box'. As I said if I get it again I will keep screenshooting.

What was the first task offered to you @Carol-38 before you went through all four tasks?
Sometimes I have found that the first task offered is the best one. Changing the tasks generally leads to worse tasks and just variations on the first one
That is if the first task is use one UFO the last task will be use three UFO. Similarly if the first task is complete 11 new levels the last task will require a higher number of levels.
You are correct not being able to choose the order in which you complete the tasks makes the Box more difficult to use. For instance if you could have chosen your tasks in any order you could have chosen the level task first whilst you had enough levels.
