Well hard to say, it was owned by Activision/Blizzard before and they are exceptionally greedy so they could have well implemented a lot of what you see and it has just carried over. About a year from now will really be the confirmation.

Odd, dunno about mobile but the windows version had increasing moves since 2019ish. One hell of a long test :D

You, like I did with the limited deal, might have a busted version of it. The other thing could be a random 5-X more turns every time with % chance. Also see below as part of this.

Finally dunno what levels you are on but it could vary, more early, less later. Sorta like how there was/is a weak version of a win streak and a better version depending if you started on a day where you got Sam's Streak or not.

Hell it could be a move to 0-X extra moves (bonus) per failure.

I guess my question is, does the bonus appear the first time you fail and can pay for extra moves? If it does that sounds like a bug since that would be meaningless.

I have the 'bonus' icon as well @Pyrolight, but my extra moves still only increase five at a time. A while ago the Moderators started to reply to people that weren't receiving any extra moves that the extra moves are only a test. I believe that this new 'bonus' icon has been introduced to highlight to everyone that their extra moves are only a bonus and not a given. My worry is that they have introduced it so that the removal/loss of extra moves becomes self-explantory.

@christinewupp I responded on the thread about the future of Candy Crush. I sincerely believe, now that Microsoft has taken it over, we're never going to have the fun free game we once had. I thought maybe, just maybe, Microsoft would fix what was broken. Instead they've made things worse IMO. Oh well, is what it is, right? I'll continue on until they make it a pay game.

I thought it had gone crazy when they started to go up to offering players 125 extra moves! That already was completely bonkers. They are just mad on trying this that and the other. @Pyrolight you are probably right, they are getting desperate.

I think mine went up faster than that even. It started off at 10, then 25, then 35, then 45 extra moves I think, after two failures at the level.

That was me @Alienscar I'm getting+7 moves instead of the+5 after losing the level. I really don't understand why Microsoft/King is doing what they're doing. Things are changing every day. Don't like it, that's why I'm not playing my new levels very often.

Looks like an alternate version of the limited deal. Seeing that "bonus" icon, and the fact you usually need to lose a few times before nightmarishly hard levels give you extra turns, makes me think that King:

Knows too many people are getting burned out way too early due to the number of tries it takes to done some levels.
People will gold are spending less just waiting on lucky boards since they know it can take so long to get enough extra turns to make some boards doable.
Easier solution than reworking levels since those seem to be kinda hit or miss.

I suspect King went way too far and are making less money now than before but can't/won't revert too much since they want to maximize profit. Now they are trying to find the middle ground where they start to increase their profits again.

Honestly I am most curious to see what changes might come to the Win app version since Microsoft owns King now.

I don't know if it is the same thing that you are referring to @christinewupp, but some else has posted that their extra moves are now increasing by 7 moves instead of 5.
