I’m pretty sure if it was going to change back they would let us know. They would make a big announcement followed by a big fan fare and party hats. I also think that this isn’t going to happen as they still ignore our posts , never answer the questions we ask . I also know that I wouldn’t go back to play the game out of principle. Sadly I also think a lot of people would do the same. It obviously hasn’t bothered them as they would have done something by now. Sorry Folks .
Guys, it's the All Stars Hub ad that pops up every other day or so which flicks my game into landscape mode. I always rest my iPad on its magic keyboard, even when I use my iPad, even when I log into Candy Crush because I then just play sideways if I have to. I think that is why it works for me every single time: If the iPad is held in landscape orientation and the little All stars Hub advert pops up when you open the game it reverts to landscape on the iPad. I have had problems with the adventure path and trying to send lives, because the profile card is half off the page, but today I noticed that once the game has openend into horizontal it will acutally turn back and forth from profile to horizontal, just like it used to do. Here are my screenshots: I played three episodes and got all the rewards from today's events, then I decided it's time to send some lives to my friends.
So here I was in landscape, I click on my player icon to give a life to a friend. I can't, as they are off the page here, nor can I get to the X. In the past I thought I had to close the game, but if I turn the iPad I can get to portrait mode and reach the X. On the second screenshot I turned it to portrait.
I now turn the iPad into landscape again, it does move back! I go into the level screen and will keep it there until later today, hoping to play some more in landscape. I think the trick to stop the game from logging me out, which will revert me back to portrait mode when I log back in, would be to now press "play". Once you have pressed play and are in the level the game generally stays open I think. (but I might be wrong) I'll test this out now because I might want to play some more in landscape later on this evening.
Oh such fun!
