I am not a newbie but I get lots of great advice from @Alienscar @Rhonda_L and @christinewupp for any issue I might have in this game. I think these three individuals are probably the most active in the community with their helpful comments and really deserve 200 Gold Bars without even questioning how many players they have helped π

I suggested this to the community years ago. That you could give a reward to the helping hands. It should be a motivation for all players. It's nice that it's being implemented.π

It would be a great pleasure to help newbies arriving at the King Community, to get to know each other better and make friends! There are still several other resources or events to try to understand each step by step for the beginner! βΊοΈπ

Yes, sorry, I was just assuming they'd need to know who I am to transfer gold to my player account. I've never taken part in any community contests and I thought they only worked for players who link their accounts, but may well be wrong with that.

The linking is for accounts that would not match. ie if your forum account is ilovetheforum@gmail.com and your King account is ihatelicorice@gmail.com, linking would allow you to get gold in game from the forum events.
I assume that if you don't link account but the forum account and King account match they just send it to the King account since you would assume it is the same person.

So what does linking a community and player account actually mean then?

What I would assume is that it would be for non matching accounts.
So your email here is happycandycrusher@gmail.com and your king account is ihatelicorice@gmail.com, they would be able to link them together.
If you have happycandycrusher@gmail.com here and happycandycrusher@gmail.com as your king account, likely they could just send it since they match.
