Update Issue

Question

I've been playing candy crush saga on my kindle fire (3rd generation) for several years and now I'm unable to play because of the recent update. When I press the update button it takes me to the app store but the button there says "open" which takes me back to the first screen. Why can't I continue to play the older version if it won't let me update to the newer version??

Your suggestions didn't resolve the issue.  I uninstalled the app knowing that I would loose all the lives and boosters I had accumulated and reinstalled the app and still having the same issue.  This is extremely frustrating.

Try to check game and device software update

Try to clear cache the app store, logout app store account, try to make another difference connection wifi/ mobile data. login
