We have an exciting announcement just for you! The Candy Crush Saga team is thrilled to present the Gift Cards Galore Tournament with a whopping $100,000 in prizes up for grabsπ°
Tournament Dates: 10th to 16th June
- Qualifier: 10th to 12th June
- Final: 14th to 16th June
This is your chance to compete for a $50 Candy Crush gift card and other fantastic rewards! Winners will also receive:
48 hours of unlimited lives
3 free color bombs
How to Participate:
- Qualifiers: Compete from June 10th to June 15th. Players will be grouped into leaderboards of around 60 players.
- Final: The top competitors from each group will move on to the final on June 16th.
Tournament Mechanics:
- Collect as many Orange Candies as you can to climb the leaderboard.
- The top 2,000 players will win the grand prize package, including the $50 gift card.

So it's still King's money in other words. π Seems it'd have been a lot simpler just to give a big gold bar prize. After all, what else can one buy with a Candy Crush gift card??
A gift card would only be useful if Candy Crush had an actual, physical store that sold candy/merchandise. Or am I missing something here? π€·ββοΈ

I know I would rather have the gold bars as a prize, this doesnt seem too promising. Now that I know what it is, not too thrilling.

They are trying to promote their gift cards. By giving some gift cards away, & after you spend them, they're hoping you'll be inclined to spend money on more gift cards. Another foolish manipulation attempt to get users to spend money.
