As I had two leaderboard games in the final I charted the levels that all the players were on when the final finished. I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to why there were so few players in the 2000-4000 level range? And it certainly seems to indicate that there were not many top players in the final of this event. There was no notable difference between the two games (one a beginner, the other playing at 16,000) so think player allocation really is random as they state.
These are my numbers:
Levels 1-1000: 27 players
level 1000-2000: 17 players
level 2000-3000: 4 players
level 3000-4000: 3 players
level 4000-5000: 8 players
level 5000-6000: 7 players
level 6000-7000: 10 players
level 7000-8000: 17 players
level 8000-9000: 9 players
level 9000-10,000: 7 players
level 10,000-11,000: 2 players
level 11,000-12,000: 3 players
level 12,000-13,000: 2 players
level 13,000-14,000: 2 players
level 14,000-15,000: 2 players
level 15,000-16,000: 2 players
level 16,000-17,000: 2 players (including myself)
Obviously this is just a tiny, tiny sample of 2 out of 10,000 leaderboards.
10000 plus levels are very ridiculous at this point or only good rng. So that's the true reason why only very few.
Ya I would imagine about 10K it would drop off badly. I would have won mine easily if I had bothered finishing it. 1000-2000 range to start finals.
Btw, all 2000s levels are extremely easy while 7000s are harder.
Hahaha no.
~2000-~5000 has actually the highest concentration of impossible levels, by a long shot, and is a very hard section now. 1000s are easy.
10000 plus are nearly impossible, 2000 to 5000 are much easy, 6000 and 9000 are harder
Thanks, Christine. I love stats. I find it interesting to observe the spike in the chart at levels 6000-8000. In my experience, these are the best levels to play tournaments, with the exception of levels below 1000, of course. Those levels yield a lot, and usually players at this level range have a stash of gold to help their efforts. But from what I read, this Candy Cup and the game in general are now too skewed towards beginners. Did many of them make it to the top 6?
6000 to 8000 are harder than 2000 to 5000s
I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to why there were so few players in the 2000-4000 level range?
Were the players you had in the 2000-4000 range spread across both of your leader boards, or were they all in one of them @christinewupp
Re. speculation on why so few players in 2000-4000 range, perhaps those players also didn't get Candy Cup at all, like me. (am L3500+ for reference)
I see one community post already showed a winner posting their 50 party poppers. On the one hand, King finally made good on something; on the other hand, I doubt they want us (excluded players) to reap that advantage.
Edit: dunno how I messed up this post's formatting.🤦♂️
The top six were:
1. level 711 (That we myself!)
2. level 1228
3. level 7933
4. level 6932
5. level 8400
6. level 1745
And in the other game (where I didn't play and came 40th)
