Yes, I should have entered to take notes of levels and scores ๐ The earliest I could start was on Saturday, decided to give it a miss and rest, and It turned out I missed out on a lot of interesting things. Okay, next time.
One more thing that I find surprising is that there are several leaderboards posted, and the scores are somewhat low. I remember scoring 2 million in Candy Cup last autumn. Did they go overboard with the board difficulty and the lack of good events?
Regarding the allocation system, it could be random, of course. I just don't trust King.
It does seem somewhat leaning towards having players at the top compete with one another.
Yes @christinewupp that is one thing I was thinking of.
I am wondering if anyone has a suggestion as to why there were so few players in the 2000-4000 level range?
I was just trying to see if there were any patterns to explain the lack of players in this range.
Nothing really springs to mind as there is a lot of information missing on how King actually generates the leader boards and how much King interferes with their creation.
The fact that your two top six leader boards look remarkably balanced the lack of people on levels 2000-3000 seems very suspicious and points to interference by King.
I was close on the last second chance.๐ญ I thought there would be another one because of the message stating there would be. That was not the case.
This was close to the end.
This is from that leader board and is what I accomplished.
This is from the winner from that leaderboard and what they accomplished. Notice what level they are on.
I don't have one for my starting position. This is the level they started on.
You can fly through those 300-500 levels and usually on the first try. It takes longer to complete a level in the 7500 range and harder to do it on your first try.
It would be fair to group us according to our level number but when has King ever been fair.๐ซค
This is what level the person in 4th place started on.
Hi @Kerrie Nice research! That was really tough you missed out on a spot in the finals by such a short margin and then to a suspicious player on such low levels. I also encountered players like the winner in your screenshots. I note that initially the levels played was higher than the level they were on, that looks suspicious to me. Maybe they are merging accounts somehow. I wish I could work out how this cheat works, but I do suspect that you fell foul of a cheater there.
In fact I spotted two suspicious players in my group as well. I wish I knew what is going on here, but I can't work out how you would get to a player card like this.
These were from the start of the final.
I'm not sure what you mean @Alienscar . I think I used the same method as this player. I started a brand new game AFTER the Candy Cup qualifier rounds had been played. I think I started on the Monday after the knockout rounds were just finished. In fact I was just trying to test out if the game had become easier to play once the knockout rounds were over, and to my surprise I got the invite to join the last "second chance" round once I played past level 25. That round then started the next day, I thought I'll take my chance and see if I succeed.
Here is my player card when I entered the final:
