Why do I need permission to comment on the thread if Top That?

Yes, that is the screen I meant. Have you tried the link Alienscar provided in their post above and tried to post in the thread just titled "Top That"? Maybe you used the thread with the old title "connection error" that had been removed. If you try to post in a thread that no longer exists you get this Permission Problem screen. I have experienced that as well. It's not personal but it looks quite threatening and you are not the first person to think they have been put on the "naughty list" for getting that to pop up! Rest assured @Queen373 you haven't.

Note that the title of the linked thread has been changed. It used to be titled 'Under Investigation Connection Error Top That Rewards.
The connection error title has been edited out of the title and turned into an article in the Help Centre.
It could be because the thread was archived. I can't see a Top That thread. Is it still visible in the forum pages? I've had the permission denied icon pop up when the thread no longer exists that I was trying to comment on. It looks a bit off putting.
Did a comment you make get sent for approval @Queen373. If this is what you mean by needing permission then don't worry it is just an issue with this forum that affects a lot of people.
Alternatively you might have inadvertently used a word that is on the list of words that means a post needs approving.
