Tagging Issues

Hi @QueenB 👋 I and many others always seem to be having problems with tagging. Is it something that can be looked at to see what is causing the problems. On many occasions I have to keep deleting and starting again because it just doesn't bring up the list where the names in green gets picked from. I do normally manage to get around that eventually, after many, many tries, but the bigger problem for me is when a name contains an underscore. No matter what I do it just doesn't work, ends up looking like this @_@ or @@brand_i. So if the name doesn't appear, even if the list does come up, there's no hope of tagging the person wanted. What are your thoughts, do you think anything can be done. 🤞🤞

Along with not receiving tag notifications, disappearing comments, comments going to Approval, not able to "Edit" the comments, tagging is also one of the issues that is being looked at!
The CMs are working with the Vanilla people, but the issue is still there! Tagging is one of our (Moderators) main concerns, as it has been very hard to address our players! Because, without tagging, they would not receive the notification about our reply😕 (This was the update before I went on vacation last week)!
Let me see if they have any updates this week🤞

I am sorry to say that there are no improvements 🙃 We do know that the CMs are working with the Vanilla team. Tagging is one thing they can never get it right! But, I have noticed that it is getting better comparing to last 2 months!
You seem to have a specific issue with the underscores and hyphens! When you are using these tags next time, can you please take screenshots for me to show the CMs? It will be better for them to understand the issue 🙏🏼

Hi @PummyRaj this is what I mean. I was tagging @Salman_Khan55 or rather trying to. Now if their name appeared at the top of the list box all would be good but this is how it goes
Then put in the underscore and this is what happens
And no matter what I try it just comes up the same each time 😳. And as I said before happens to all with underscores or hyphen.

Yes I do @Alienscar and the last time it happened was today at 3.36pm when I replied to a Hi post. I started the reply with Hello, you will see it in Discussions.

Typical of King they can't just get things wrong in one way they have to have multiple versions of the error I left my first tag to you @Carol-38 to show you why I can't start a sentence with a tag.
I never have issues with tagging as long as I don't start a sentence with a tag and as long as I get it right first time. If I make a mistake and have to backspace tagging stops working immediately and I have to save a draft of my post without the tag and then start typing again.

@Alienscar now how has that worked. I promise I didn't put Hi or Hello first then delete it. It just worked for me as it is. I don't seem to have a problem with anything other than names with underscores and hyphen.
