Thanks a lot for replying; I've found some of your suggestions very useful. I'm not ready to quit though... I've been playing for at least a decade so it's hard to stop now. Anyway, I'm not sure to have fully understood what you mean by saying "use Season Pass, "Don't feed the troll" and any other events that will give you free boosters for playing and replaying easy old levels."

So, ready to start a new strategy 😊

Thanks @annmary ! I wasn't suggesting anything inappropriate by my suggestion to "use" these events. Season Pass will give any player a UFO every week, "Don't feed the troll" does not show up every weekend, but when it does then it returns for three days, so will give us three party poppers, three UFOs and more. So I just meant: Take full advantage of those events in your game that do not require passing new levels.

It is a regular, recurring event that I think all players on mobile devices get week after week. It starts on a Tuesday and finishes on Monday mornings. It will give out one UFO and either lollipop or a hammer every week, it isn't much, but it's always easy to get because you can play old levels for it.

I think I did all the steps except the 2nd one! I am too lazy to start a new game and level it up then start a new one for whatever reason it may be! But, once I reach 17K (or 18K) in my game, I might be restarting from level 1 (by resetting progress)!

In your 2nd tip, you mentioned

I do get ads, on and off. To get ads and keep ads in a new game, clear your internet history before reinstalling the game. It worked for me.

Since you have done this already, I think it will be very helpful if you can provide the actual steps to follow! Can you please share that? 🙏🏼

Thanks @PummyRaj . I play on Apple devices. To clear my internet history I just click on the Safari icon on the front page in Settings. Then on the next page I scroll to the bottom and I click on the blue "Clear history and website data" . I am really not sure if this does help bring adverts to the game. The game takes us to King's website each time to agree to Terms and Conditions and I think the cookies may then be placed so next time King knows your preferences. Initially I had turned off personalised ads for Candy Crush and never got adverts each time I opened a new game. Only after I cleared the cookies and website data did I receive ads. But of course this is hit and miss as we do get randomly assigned to test groups with regards to ads, so it is no guarantee.

Yes, of course! I was interested in “clearing cache/history” in general as I could not find that (may be it will help with Chocolate box glitch).

I'm so fed up!

Day 5 refusing to watch a single commercial.

The wall you speak of is very real, but the final straw for me was the depletion of my banked lives.

I share over 300 lives a week. Seeing mine go from a constant 200 down to 15 was where I drew the line.

I refuse to watch a single commercial/use the measly 20 lives were alloted per day until it is restored to 200.

I'm also refusing to use any boosters or gold.

Sick and tired of the changes made since Microsoft purchased CCS.

The only power we have as players is to refuse to pay to play and to refuse to participate in the profit machine watching ads feeds.

I want a symbiotic relationship. (We level up = we watch ads / we get stuck = we quit watching ads)

I'm not going to allow this game to twist my arm behind my back.

I don't want anyone making profit off of the frustration they're allowed to cause!
