From which level is King offering players they could watch adverts instead of paying for gold and boosters? Or is this a stupid question? Like this is only offered to players in, say, the USA? I keep reading about watching ads instead of paying (if I understand it correctly) and I'ld certainly be interested.
Ok, I've read a post from @Carol-38 where she explains that King decides who is getting adverts and that paying in the game results in not getting those adverts. So, since I'm paying for stuff I can forget about adverts. @christinewupp has also tried to tell me this, but I didn't understand then. Now I do. No question anymore.
Hello @Storm15 I was just writing an answer to another question from you and then the discussion disappeared. But as it took me so long to write all this I copy and paste it here anyway. I hope you don't mind. The question was how we manage to play without spending lots of money or getting stuck.
This is my answer to that:
Let me try @Storm15 . I have two separate games.
Game 1 is many years old and I am at the end of the game, level 17,540. I played the first 10,000 levels when the game was easy and fun and let us win any level if we were stuck on it, so I never spent any gold or money but waited for that lucky board. That was before 2022 and explains why some of us got to the end of the map. It's historical: The game has changed beyond recognition since we played those early levels. Levels 10,000 to 17.500 I have found a lot harder going since 2022, and some of the methods I used were taking advantage of unintended glitches in the game. I believe a lot of players who survive at these highest levels are quite creative. Most have long dropped out over the years.
Game 2 I started from scratch in April and am now just past level 4000 and have more than 10 thousand gold bars. No taking advantage of glitches and no cheating. So this is how I play:
I hope this answers your question.
Hello @christinewupp. The post you mentioned, that disappearing was my doing. Reading it again I thought: Bleh. Wining. I still think it was because after playing CC over a number of years (with big periods of absence inbetween) I already have some idea what kind of game it is and that it's designed to rip us from as much money as possible. So why complain? There are lots of other less money consuming games. And in fact: I have left CC aside in the past for almost six years when my husband was ill from a progressive, terrible disease. I had quite enough to do and on my mind and certainly enough to pay for all the medical necessities. But the idea to play CC spending almost no money never left my mind since I saw my husband accomplish that (he played, being condemned to his wheelchair and bed, from the beginning and even reached the (for that period) last level with a huge stock of goldbars, boosters and lives left. And he really had fun playing CC because it effectively distracted him from all the mysery of his illness. But when I started playing again, say two years ago, CC had changed immensely. And now that I'm reading your information (great post Christine, really, you're a tremendous community member) I know I'll never be able to play like my late husband did because that has become impossible. Also, reading how you have made yourself smart in the gameplay, I already know I'll never try to catch up. Too impatient with matching games (I'm much more an action-adventure player) and often too annoyed as well by the money grabbing King style.(Somebody somewhere on this forum told a disappointed CC player to be 'thankful' but whatever for exactly I wonder???). I will surely try to follow up some of your advices, certainly, because stubborn me hasn't given up CC yet (won't be too long though I think but we'll see) but the kind of CC pro you clearly are I'll never become. Thanks for this post, really. It has done me good as a person.
