Hi, I am one of the oldies who used to play Candy crush from the start when it came out, however when the new design came out with a portrait view (instead of landscape view) it made it near impossible to play due to lack of hand stamina, so I had to stop playing.
I have now started playing again and and am finding that I’m not as good at this as I used to be, and due to it being an incredibly lengthy task to scroll back to the beginners level, I am keen to restart my game.
I have been reaching out to support for over a week but they keep “missing” my replies and are telling me two different versions so I thought I’d reach out here instead in case it’s possible to get an answer here.
so basically I would like to take the boosters and gold bars that I have previously purchased with me when I reset the game, which I am told is possible and then I am told it is not possible. What’s the correct answer here? I have also been told that I will not have the same game experience, however when I enquire as to what would be different I am getting no replies. I can appreciate that new features will open up once new levels are reached but I am keen to find out if I will loose out on features like forever more if I restart.
Anyone with answers please reply :) .
Hello @Katrina_A 🤗 A Warm Welcome to the King Community!
I think you should be able to reset your game progress by keeping your Gold Bars. I am not sure about the boosters, but can find out from our Community In-charge and get back to you tomorrow.
Which device are you using to play the game? Can you please provide your game ID number? If you need help finding your ID number, please let me know.
Please reply by typing below🍫🍫
thanks Pummy , I will find out my game ID nr and get back to you, but if you could find out in the mean time I would be super duper grateful :D im playing on an apple device (iPad)
I wonder if @Colleen Companion Welsh might have some advice for you on this one, so I try to tag her here. I think Colleen tried to do exactly the same that you are trying to achieve and had some help from Player Support, but if I remember right there were some problems as well. You might be better off starting a brand new game from scratch. The game gives you some gold bars and the first few episode races are easy to win, so if you use boosters and gold wisely early on (use none before reaching level 200) you should be able to grow your gold balance again.
@Katrina_A Initially I did reset my game to level one and King Customer Care happily transferred my Gold Bars / Boosters without an issue. What was not explained to me was that a game reset will not give you access to winning episode races which is necessary for winning Gold Bars to complete levels.
After much discussion with King Customer Care and various opinions from different customer care reps it was determined that I should have just created a new account with a new email address which allows players access to everything. This was completed with no issues in May 2024 and again the transfer of Gold Bars / Boosters was completed.
As you progress through the game features will not appear immediately but don't be discouraged everything happens in due course and there are so many new features now available. The biggest bonus for me was having access to ads which I did not have due to the simple fact that I made one single purchase for boosters. From what I understand buying boosters eliminates players from receiving ads.
I am attaching a screenshot of my progress since May 2024. When I created the new account I was at level 16000+ with approximately 200+ Gold Bars and a small supply of boosters. At least now with ads available and being able to buy boosters with my Gold Bars this game seems more achievable. At some point I know this will change but at least I am enjoying the game for now. Hope this helps, have a great day 😊

You're a star, Colleen! Thanks for the info.
That is an impressive amount of gold you have there and I can see you getting to the end of the map before long with it. What then? Start another new game?
Continue to have fun! 😀
I may have to create a new account 😂
Colleen! Thank you so much! Really! From the bottom of my heart! I have had so much problems with customer reps and their different opinions and the fact that they simply refuse to answer my questions (same as the ones I have asked here)
I will now try and get customer relations to agree to transfer my boosters to a new account. Wish me luck!
Again thank you so much! And a mahoosive thank you to everyone who has replied! ❤️❤️
Good Luck 🙂
Bisher bin is so weit gekommen:
