I'll be curious if you make it through all those early episode races successfully. I lost so many lives in my last two new games that I failed one of the episode races. (a different one in each game). They used to give us days, now it's less than 24 hours per race even before you reach champions race.

What do you do for more lives when you play 6 hour sessions? Do you stick to the five lives given or do you refill your lives by that well known mechanism we don't mention here?

Haha, no way I could do 6 hours with 5 lives. I go with the infinite lives for 69 gold, which is also why they are 6 hour sessions :D

Attempt 1 and new level notes

    1. Levels are a lot smoother to 51.
    2. I will miss 46… HAHAHAHA
    3. Sugar stars is gone, usually 35. I got it at 54…
    4. Three miss-clicks of candies so far
    5. Episode Race did not trigger at 51.
    6. And fail at 54… Win streak broke the starting mechanic and after that the level just was in "you will lose" mode.
    7. Avatar was

    Attempt 2

    1. Never mock missing level 46… I got the old start ><
    2. Fail 2 on 31. Old mode is poo
    3. Avatar was

    Third Time is the charm

    1. New levels again. They are SO much better.
    2. Level 31 is spicy
    3. Sugar stars at 42
    4. Level 48, I am not sure what the creators were trying with that level. I does not play well
    5. Episode Race and Win streak started after closing and opening the app and playing 50 again then 51, then 50, then closing and opening the app and playing 50.
    6. Win streak is bad version and 6 steps
    7. Egg is at 9 wins in a row
    8. Level 54, Win Streak did not break it this time
    9. 55 is always a bit of a white knuckle level as it can go very badly very easily
    10. 65, Win Streak always breaks this one. I had double boosters and used 3 swaps, 1 hammer and won on the last turn. Seriously candies triggered for no apparent reason on the first more. God it is a awful level.
    11. One miss click so far (moving candy next to the one I wanted to move)
    12. Avatar is (love this one)

So levels Win Streak can break are 54 and 65

When I played level 65 recently (Tiffy avatar) I noted that the algorithms seemed to have been fixed to include a lucky board for anyone with boosters. Have you tried playing the first move the game suggests? I have just tried the level with a colour bomb on the board and made the suggested first move. The mechanism to pass was different from the usual coconut wheel one, but I got a lucky board to help me pass easily by other means.

I just tried level 54 as well and here too I got zillions of colour bombs dropping to help me pass on my last three moves even though the colour bomb on the starting board blocked the ideal first move.

    Not playing with hints.

Normally 65 is not so tight, it was due to the striped candies just randomly went off when they should not have. At that point the board was brutal hard. It is something I have noticed when you do not make the "correct" first move. If you do the board is easier, if not it becomes really hard.

Ya normally 54 is tons of coluor bombs, it was that the first move was not correct. It seems to cause the board to be more or less a fail board.

Misc. finding, not sure if you guys have discovered it yourself:

I pretty much abandoned my SS game as work has picked up. I finally opened it today and was greeted with a message of how happy King was to see me again; have a +1 move!

I thought, how crappy is that. But then I played a few old levels and saw boards open with +11, +13, all these random numbers flashing. L17 had like 33 moves. I got a 300,000 score on it, WUT! Same gummy dragon board as usual, just a lottt of moves.

So maybe the secret to success in the game is just not opening it for a few weeks. 🤷‍♂️

Welp that was a short one.

Episode race raced off at 80 and nothing I tried brought it back. So gold is gone and run in done.

I am kinda thinking the standard King interview is:

King: Please count for me starting at 1.

    Interviewee: Huh?

King: Please count for me starting at 1.

    Interviewee: 1.. 2.. 3…

King: Please stop there, you are clearly overqualified to work for us.

Anyway, might give it one more shot in Jan… Dunno, the KitKat stuff plus the truly impressive level of incompetence shown of late might be a little too much for me.

Something I did notice while trying to get my race working again. The KitKat bars yesterday were popping with the word KitKat. Today they simply popped and looked like normal red candies. Also the effects for stripped candies were messed up as others have mentioned in the past.

It is almost impressive how completely King can manage to just mess stuff up.

LMAO, sounds like the "extra turns" for not playing are jacked up, at least for the old boards.

Yes, I have noted again and again that if you don't make the correct first move you often cannot pass a level. Of course that is why I always recommend to players to turn on hints and play the first move the game suggests. On a lucky board this strategy will always work. On a "fail" board of course it won't, but then on those boards no strategy will work anyway! I do of course understand that when playing a testing game like you do that not using hints is a valuable strategy to use.

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
