Ya new levels is how I played it in the past. It would be "ok" but there is the baked in artificial difficultly boost for 1-2 levels at the start making it very hard to get the best reward or force you to spend boosters/gold.

I feel exactly the same @Carol-38 . I am certainly done with being sweet and kind and helping newbies for a while. If they want us to run this community for them then they will have to also give us something good to say about the game and a reason to still bother playing CandyCrush. I think I dare say that this latest move has made all the helpful regulars here nothing but angry.
Oh and thanks for reminding me that I haven't done my Duolingo lession yet today. Oops, almost forgot….

In case anyone doesn't see the new font on your game, you maybe in luck. I manage to saved the cake from troll on three mobile devices by playing old levels because the apps are not updated to the lastest version. I shall disable the auto-update at least for the next 2 days.
The game on my Huawei device is provided by Flexion Mobile and their update is a bit slow. Their latest version is 1.290.1.2
What a terrible move on their part. That was one of very few things to look forward to in the game. I'm in the 16k group; it's extremely difficult to pass new levels now and they don't often have too many orange candies in them anyway. This move greatly disadvantages the players at a higher level, and to say that I'm bitterly disappointed would be an understatement.
I've been very patient with all the changes that King have made to the game over the years. Now, I really don't feel like playing it anymore.. 😕
They ruin the one game that was fair to everyone and gave us all a bit of a lift at the weekend. What a bit*h move.

Well, now they have taken any joy out of the weekend playing of Candy Crush and it was only every other weekend if that. I do not get any of the contests anymore, have not for going on a year. Did not get the All Stars. Thinking about just stopping.

And I will also add @QueenB it makes discussions and trying to help each other in the Community a joke. As the Studio obviously do read what is being put and stop things that are helpful to us. Just another big plug in things we try to do 😒

Exactly @Jumpery. It really is getting ridiculous @QueenB and I doubt very much the Studio will take any notice, just like they don't of most other things you feed back to them. So not many ways left to get free boosters, have to wait and see what other 'Sweet' things they are going to do to help us 'Escape the stress of today' 😂

they took away old level for don’t feed the troll. Assisted living at least you got a small chance to get ahead. They are always taking things away and giving you no reason to play. So sad. A billion dollar co.
This! King seems to be slowly chopping away at all the relaxing and enjoyable features and only leaving the the stressful ones. Yeah, no thanks. I don't need more stress in my life. I play to relax and have fun and not to get my heartrate up.
They are certainly making it a very boring game @Deal_One and making it much easierer for players to just stop playing. I have so many in my Friends List who haven't played for 60 days and more. Some haven't played for well over 100, so it just goes to prove many are fed up with it already and given up.
