Strange Player cards in leaderboards

A player card from the Weekly Contest was posted by @Alienscar above, which looks very similar. Either the bots are now present everywhere, not only in this leaderboard event, or it's just another issue with King's servers/data not loading. I think it's the latter. Sneaky Melon Duck, again.

I hope it's just a computer glitch of some sort. Those player cards were never a good idea. Too much can go wrong with them. Something isn't right with the events though in the past couple of weeks. The opposition in the weekly race is definitely now tracking our scores from the previous week and matching us accordingly. That Warcraft qualifier round I played I very much felt that the opposition was hand picked to match my own ability. It was stronger than any other qualifying round I had previously sailed through, and it did not feel random. I'm not sure if you saw this thread:

To be honest @christinewupp there is just so much wrong with the game that I can't really decide what is going on.

I would say definitely not a bot. Bots aren't as sophisticated as most people think they are and a Candy Crush playing bot can't play the game as well as a person.

The avatar of a player being displayed as a white silhouette is an issue that has been going on for years, so no conclusion can be made from that.

An issue that is becoming more and more common is the issue of players completing more levels than they have played. Whilst this wouldn't affect the score of a player it makes the Player Card redundant.

The level zero is the most intriguing thing for me as I believe that if I understood what that really meant then things would make sense.

The real problem I have with King is the Troll in the Weekly Contest. The Troll proved that King can introduce a fake player profile into any of their features/events whenever they like. The Troll player is worse than a bot as a Troll player when introduced by King doesn't have to play the game as King just codes the Troll to stay within a certain score range (eg: Troll score = Player 2 score + 1000). This might explain the level 0.

Overall I just don't trust the Player Card to draw any firm conclusions though. In my Weekly Contest I have people indicated as 'Firstname' but when I click on them I am presented with real names. I have two silhouette players and they have the nicknames of Monday and Toffee. These names don't seem 'real' to me and it all makes me doubt that the Player Card is working.

You know when you complete an online form and the fields have greyed out entries for your name and dates. The issue reminds me of that. By that I mean it is like King has got the coding of the Card wrong and we are seeing some of the coding text (Firstname) instead of real text.

I agree that King is probably testing something about how they do leaderboard events. I just think those player cards with blank faces and level 0 are a glitch.

I'm doing better in the Weekly Contest this week, as I was given opponents who actually matched my score, unlike last week. I have a good chance of winning, and I guess that will result in them giving me someone who plays 300-400 levels per week again. Oh well.

While playing KitKat leaderboards, I noticed players named Sunshine, Breeze, Moose, Dolphin, and so on. Just words, not names. The second time I met someone named Sunshine, I began paying attention. All were from India, all below level 1,000. I thought that King began giving such names to new players who didn't save their games, but now I'm becoming suspicious.

Whatever it was, I'm guessing it played a role in why my Current login streak listed 0 for a day (days?). Haven't really been paying attention. Though I do see that seems to have been fixed today; my Player Card now says 945 for it.

I admire you guys for hanging in there. I've officially lost interest in the game & community since King won't fix my account.

As it only relates to the Warcraft leaderboard event which finished yesterday it is not a glitch that can be fixed on Monday since it no longer exists now the event is finished. I don't know what they are telling you @PummyRaj but personally I don't believe anything King tell us any more.

The level zero and silhouette avatar is affecting the Weekly Contest as well @christinewupp

I can't believe they will fix the white avatar though because as I said previously that is an issue that has been going on for years.

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
