Is this normal candy behaviour?

I thought that in the past lucky candies or any other caged candies would change to striped or wrapped and explode when a colour bomb is hit against a wrapped or striped candy.
Such as in this screenshot above, where I am about to hit such a combo with purple stripe + colour bomb.
But it did not happen. Am I missing something or does my memory deceive me?
@MannyFae , or anyone else who might shed some light on this? Hitting the colour bomb into the purple stripe did not even take the marmalade off that purple lucky candy on the bottom row.

I suppose it can't do that because we need them to turn yellow, on second thought. But I would have thought it would have been nice if at least the cages and marmalade had disappeared. To have no effect at all seems unfair and unexpected. Never mind, I've had enough trying to pass this impossible level. I'll pack that test game in now and I doubt I will start another now it's gotten so boring and predictable.

This is normal. The lucky candies are unaffected by color bomb combinations and do not turn into specials. Matching a color bomb with a color causes lucky candies to open, and that's it. It has been like that for as long as I can remember (or started paying attention).

Ya Lucky candies will simply turn into one of the required items nothing more. Also the licorice shell blocks like normal licorice.
Oh is that an update to the appearance of frosting?
