What I hope to learn from leaderboard events through player cards

Yes, I remember the 11th leaderboard and I agree with you that this probably did happen and King worked hard to keep it under wraps. The one person who won it and posted repeatedly about it then never answered the question of what happened even when someone asked her directly. I would not be surprised if she was paid off for her silence. I had something similar happen at work many years ago, it's what companies do.

I did think that there was no information about the final leaderboard size at last year's All Stars Terms and Conditions. I think I was asking around in March to try and find out what size it had been the previous year to make my calculations. I've just checked my screenshot of All Stars info. I see nothing about leaderboard size at all and I remember they were secretive about this for all the rounds. It was with the next competitions they changed that, the Music Tournament they gave us that info. It will be interesting what they will do this year.

I found that thread in my comments, somehow it survived deletion. It has a quote from the Terms and Conditions, even.

The T&C you quoted stated 'up to 49 other Participants during Stages 1–6'. I have a copy of the T&C saved after the tournament ended, and it says 'up to 99 other Participants'.

It's impossible to rely on anything written in the T&C because they can alter it at any time if they misstate anything, and they often do.

Thanks for the reminder. My old brain! Yes, that was it. They did state that with the "displayed" which I found confusing.

How do they get away with changing it all the time and not sticking to their own Terms and Conditions? Well, I don't understand legal matters much.

I've done with my test games now I think. Playing that last game up to level 1000 was gruesome. Those last few levels were all just frosting and blockers and nothing of interest at all. I was so bored!

I have noted that in my finals leaderboard there were only five players with a photo, old ones who have been playing for years. I think players are becoming expendable and my findings support that King don't care about any dropping out. I suspect they will start a marketing drive soon together with easier levels and fun events to get a whole new lot of players set up to join believing they can win a million dollars. In fact judging by all the recents posts about "earning money" it sounds this has already started. I think this may put us old and wise players in a good position for All Stars. It seems to me that most of the expert crushers have been driven out of the game by now. I had two experienced crushers with photos but a "playing since" 2023/2024 in my finals leaderboard, which I think means they have merged games at one point, which is possible and allowed and which I have done with Poppy to keep that game going. These two players ended up at the last two places without playing a single level, and I suspect that an automated system must have found them "suspicious" and eliminated them. I think King are better at eliminating players now who try to bend their rules.

Thank you very much for this, Christine. I tried to collect some data on my own, but due to my late entry strategy (short time span), my data was too inconsistent, and I don't consider it reliable. Your analysis makes for a very interesting read, and I fully agree with your conclusions. Now we have answers backed up with evidence for questions from players competing in leaderboard events.

One more thing I will try to find out is how often does the player's current level stated on the player card actually update. There will certainly be questions about players gaining points but supposedly not moving up in levels. Hopefully, we will have events like Gold Club, and I will try to find it out.

All the posts on the top new levels thread disappeared overnight ?

I posted about 1/2 hour ago and @Scooterpie informed me my post had disappeared within minutes of posting ??

My post was not offensive, just questioning why our posts had disappeared and apologizing to @LoFiGummy for not being able to read his/her reply to me.

@christinewupp @LoFiGummy @Scooterpie Seems there was a glitch which has been corrected. All posts have returned.

Great to see it all works again @Peter_Tornaros. And no @SneakyMelonPyroDuck I don't think it was me that broke it…😉 though for a short while it did give me a fright.

This is a good time to lay this thread to rest. I might start a new one with all the findings and thanks for the data and support @MannyFae

    Good night!
