Can't play anymore on Kindle Fire. Says "Oops! Update to the latest game version "

I've tried forcing a stop, and deleting and re-installing. Keep getting a pop-up that says "New Version—Oops! Update to the latest game version for the sweetest fun!" then has a button that says "Update." When I click the update button, it takes me to a list of applications with an "Open" button. I click on the "Open" button and it brings me back to the Candy Crush Saga map with the pop-up that says "Oops! Update…etc."
I've cleared out cookies and cache, but nothing works on Kindle. No problem playing on my laptop. Why did it just quit working on my Kindle Fire? Everything is up to date on it.
I'm at level 5471 and want to keep going! Thanks!

We had few more players experiencing issues with "Updating" their App!!
Our Candy Community In-charge has posted this below⬇️note
Your device might have been prompt to update as our system have noticed that the game is running on an older version and will need updating in order to work.
Please note that due to natural technological progress over time, it is possible that our games can no longer perform as originally intended on certain devices.
Could you take a screenshot of the message that you get and, if you get redirected, a screenshot from the App Store too? It’ll help us take a closer look!

Have the exact same issue. 1200 levels down the toilet since only play it on kindle. Just get stuck in circle of update and store.

my kindle says I've reached the end but to wait for other levels .I bought a gift card and now my unlimited lives are ticking away. I have a newer kindle with candy crush on it, can the lives be transferred to it?

Which level are you at on your old Kindle? Can you post a screenshot for me?
And, unfortunately, no! Only level progress and the Gold bars can be transferred/synced across all the devices we use as there are saved to King Servers!
Whereas, the lives and boosters are stored on local memory of the device we use, which is not possible to transfer to another device!
Oh! The unlimited lives are a reward through the Gift Card?
I would suggest to take a screenshot of your game map and then, send a complaint to King Customer Support team, hoping they would be able to assist you🤞
