    Hello @Tnopha

I managed to beat it in 28 moves recently. The approach that worked for me was to avoid paying attention to those order locks and not let them influence which moves I make, and just bash the board. It took me around 20 attempts to win. I found that if I manage to bash the board hard enough to remove all the blockers, I don't need to worry about the dragons until 5 or so moves are left.

I started all attempts by making matches on both sides of the middle column and then tried to quickly remove the frosting in that column to allow the green candies to start dropping and to facilitate cascades started by the conveyor belt movement.

After that, it's the usual routine of making as many special candies as I can. Luckily, during my winning attempt, the game helped me with a CB+wrapped combo, which is a great way to hit those blockers at the bottom.

The result is fantastic. Almost all the blockers are removed, and all but two dragons are freed as well.

Now, and only now, I am taking a look at which colors I need to collect to release the remaining gummies. I managed to collect enough green candies with the help of a striped and wrapped combo, and the orange candies took care of themselves.

I thought that would be a failed attempt with one jelly left on the board, but thankfully, the stripe dispenser at the top released a stripe, so that the last remaining double jelly was hit twice. Phew!

Here's a video if it posts:

    Good luck!

    Level 2

I watched your video on YouTube but my problem is when I match colors there is one color that stop being produced and I end up having, say for example 50 yellow at the end, which is the problem I’m having

The way to win this and similar levels where you have to collect multiple colors to open order locks is to AVOID trying to collect particular colors. Instead of focusing on collecting colors, make every special and every combo you can, and make moves that create cascades. This method will allow you to collect a lot of candies of each color, which will often be sufficient even if color generation is uneven. If you allow yourself to get drawn into collecting a particular color you think is spawned less often, the game will spawn even less of it, and you will lose. Don't do that.

If you are doing what I described above, but still have around 50 candies of some color left to collect, then I'm at a loss. I've made between 20 and 25 attempts, deliberately avoiding looking at those order locks and what they require. Not once I have run into the situation you describe; I had a few close attempts with 3-4 jellies left, and even not so good attempts weren't that bad.

    Level 2

The problem I’m having is too many of the same color won’t come down level 27 I know it’s going to be the color blue

I used the bombshell on blue

level 3 there is only 4 blues on the board

at the end of the game I still needed 25 blues I’ve been playing this level for 2 weeks and it’s always the same high number of a particular color that I need not always the same color

I think I know what the problem is. You study the board and try to determine which color will be a problem. Then you try to make moves to collect that color. It seems that you used a color bomb to collect the blues. That's exactly the situation I'm trying to warn you against. It's a mistake to try and collect one color. That's the worst thing you can do on this level, because this will only lead to the game spawning less and less of that color, exactly the situation shown in your screenshots.

Don't allow yourself to look at these locks. Put something on your screen that hides them from view. Don't worry about whether this color or that color will be a problem. Don't even think about colors. JUST BASH THE BLOCKERS. Once the blockers are cleared or there are 2-3 left, THEN look at the locks. Most of the time, you'll find you only have to collect a few candies.

    Level 2

when you play candy crush you have to study the board but I tried it both ways and got the same results except playing blind left me with more to contend

when you play candy crush you have to study the board

I didn't mean that you don't have to study the board in general, just that this can play tricks on you sometimes. This is a level where it certainly can happen. It has to be played in a somewhat counterintuitive way.

Well, I gave this level another try playing without boosters, 'blindfolded', as I described above.

As you can see, I had trouble clearing the blockers, but I have not run into a situation where I have a huge amount of one color left to collect.

I managed to win this level again with the help of timed striped/wrapped and fish boosters from the fishing boat feature that appears when you run out of lives. This time, I got a position somewhat similar to that on your screenshots: the blue color appears to be spawned less often.

I went on to clear the remaining jellies, and made no attempts to collect the blues.

I tried to make specials/combos, and the game threw me a color bomb just as I managed to set up a striped and wrapped combo.

In this situation, would you attempt to arrange a color bomb + blue match?

I chose to set off a striped and wrapped combo for cascades and fireworks and immediately found myself in a position where I only needed TWO blues to win, with five moves remaining.

What I'm trying to explain is that combos and good cascades are a much more efficient way to collect huge amounts of a color than matching a color bomb with the color you need. The latter is a particularly bad move to make in this situation, and you only should make such a move when the board has enough of the required color. Otherwise, if you cleared the board and have a color bomb, try to make a combo with it. If you can't make a combo, remove a DIFFERENT color so that the board spawns more of the color you need, but don't try to collect a color by matching a color bomb with it.

Out of interest, are you playing this level without boosters or with starting boosters? How do you manage to clear the blockers so efficiently?

    Level 2

I’m still having the same problem as you can see On level 8 I still have 56 yellows to clear which means that yellow hadn’t been coming down the entire time no matter how you play. Sometimes I play with bonuses at the beginning but I’ve used all my boosters during game play

Hello @Tnopha The game is rigged for us to require extra moves for some levels. This one is probably one of those. Extra moves will only cost 10 gold bars, which is cheaper than playing a UFO and hardly any higher a cost than a lollipop hammer. The game is designed this way and the best way to play is to save some gold for levels like this one, then replay it until the game offers you 35 or more extra moves for 10 gold bars. Here are my best tips on how to play the game now. The strategy it takes has changed since we first started playing the game years ago, and not all levels can be passed in the moves allocated any more. So we need to change our playing strategy accordingly.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to help you, @Tnopha. I am unsure if it's a difference in the boards we get or a difference in how we play. I am unable to replicate the outcome you keep getting, with 40 or more candies of the same color left to collect. It is possible that those who play a level as a new level may receive different boards than those who replay levels they have already completed. If you don't have gold and King refuse to give you a doable board, it might help to take a break for a week or so. Hopefully, King's algorithms will detect that you're not interested in paying to pass and let you pass for free. Good luck.

Hey! Would you like to give us your opinion?
