I have witnessed a misfiring which really should not ever happen @QueenB . I didn't take a screenshot but in the level below you can see that there is a UFO embedded in the starting board. When I played this level just now and created a fish-stripe combo it went for the space where the UFO is and made it disappear! The striped fish was totally ineffective as well. But really, if there is a UFO embedded in a level like this the new smart fish should set it off, not swallow it and make it disappear. That must be an error that needs fixing!

I saw a fish choosing a wrapped candy instead of the last remaining jelly, possibly because it was occupied by another fish.
Before, there were two types of fish in the game, fish candies and fish spawned from bobbers, each having their own target lists and priorities. The fish we currently have behave like those from bobbers, except for fish and stripe and fish and wrap combos, which have new behavior. The target list of bobber fish is more complex and they don't always prioritize jelly. The type of fish that was reliable for collecting jelly no longer exists.

I can't seem to make this work and the fish are NOT targeting what they should (example on a recent level I played the fish ignored the last jelly and hit everything but that last jelly several times).

I prefer previous fish booster.. it was more effective it doesn't help as much as before and it's a waste when combined with another special candy

The change to the fish is absolutely horrible. The “intelligent” fish is hardly intelligent. The fish used to get the cakes or the whipped cream squares and when you did a fish with a striped candy you would have the fish go where it was logical to go. Now the striped or bomb fish is totally useless and when you had 3 it was better than one. Whose idea was it to change something that was totally workable? I say put the fish back like it was. I don’t care about creating a fish - in the end it’s just not helpful.
