? Why is there nothing to do in this game again this week…? I don't get why King keeps doing this. They're the only developer in this world who do everything to push their users to stop playing. I don't get it....

They make no sense. Why can't they leave this game alone for us and add whatever other stuff they want to add? Why do they constantly take away existing events or features to replace them with something that lasts a few days? Why shut down Elite Candy Royale now bc of this prize palooza nonsense? Why does it have to be one or the other? And by taking away Elite Candy Royale, they're removing their biggest money maker! And, people won't pay for or upgrade other stuff like season pass without an incentive. That's me. Without Elite Candy Royale, I won't upgrade the season pass or pay for any other stuff. It's not worth it. This is the stupidest marketing strategy ever. Ridiculous.

You are right by saying that they push users to stop playing… that’s what I did this last week.
I really don't care about this or any other events that mean Elite Candy Royale is going to be gone again. Why does King have to remove existing every day regular features when adding some temporary event that lasts a few days? What's the logic in that? Why? Why remove something that is there all the time to add something that is there for 2 days? Seriously. King is the only developer in the world who is pissing off its users every single day. So sick of this.

Ok, the stupid orange candy troll needs to go and I mean now. I never want to see this thing in my games again. If King gave us Top That on weekdays and Elite Candy Royale on weekends, I would be more than happy and satisfied. Honestly, all other special ones where you collect candy like winter cup, summer cup, etc. have become boring. I just play my game during those and if I happen to collect enough for a top prize, good. If not, who cares. I don't keep track of these anymore. This game has become totally ridiculous. King doesn't care about keeping its loyal users who have played the game for 10 plus years. They keep taking away all the best most fun to play events. Seriously. Give me Top That and Elite Candy Royale and get rid of the stupid weekend cake troll and I'm happy.

On a different note you made me curious about level 4850 so I went to check it out. I had to look at the level on YouTube as my levels are muddled up. I wonder if yours are as well? My level 4841 looks like it's the one but it's still easy to pass.
Again I don't entirely agree with you @christinewupp but I don't entirely disagree either.
I don't need to have played levels 1 to 4000 to appreciate the state of the game as King changes the levels throughout the game all the time. Level 4850 for instance, one of my go-to Chocolate Box levels has now been nerfed into a Nightmarishly Hard level whereas I used to be able to complete it in three or four moves.
For me Candy Crush isn't a competitive game that is played against other people. Even the level a person has reached is more about time wasted playing the game, or how long someone has been playing rather than being a competitive player.
I don't need Events in order to play the game and the repetitive nature of the features and Events just bore me.
For me the purpose of the game is inherent in its design and that is to complete one level after the other. Some levels are ridiculously hard, some aren't but that is just the way game is. Just give it a few months and I am sure King will have made other changes that we either like or don't.
People that complain about Events that require the completion of new levels have been around since I started the game in 2021 so aren't directly linked to changes in the game now. One Event (can't remember what it was called now) required the completion of 110 new levels. Hope you can see why that sort of thing generated complaints.
You need to have played levels 1-4000 or those after level 18,000 recently to appreciate what I mean @Alienscar : Those levels really do need events to give the game a purpose. They are either written or nerfed by the AI and nothing but endless blocker bashing with no strategy or puzzle element at all. Those of us in the 6000 + range will feel different about the game than either new players or those who have reached the end. I am currently playing levels short before 9000 and am finding them interesting in their own right so enjoy playing with or without events. In my latest game which is now in the mid 3000s there is no satisfaction in playing at all and those players do need events, including live leaderboard competitions.
I think Candy Crush has become a game of two groups of players now: Those joining in 2025 who are being brought up with the super charger, the new jelly fish and the drive to keep their win streaks and zoom through episodes at a fast speed, and those who have played the game for years who are used to a more leisurely pace and who prefer to scroll back to replay go-to levels for rewards. Those players are now driven out of the game by some impossibly hard levels and the lack of a scroll back feature and they must be the ones who complain most about events that require new unplayed levels to beat. At the moment I find only one out of my three accounts enjoyable: the one between levels 7000-9000 where the levels are largely unchanged from the days when King had a competent level design team. I can definitely see both views, there are two distinctly different methods of playing Candy Crush and I have used both.
I disagree @christinewupp for many people Events are a reason to complain about the game and for these people Candy Crush is meant to be a game without Events.
Top That and Feed The Troll surely can't be classed as interesting Events anyway as they now generate complaints for being too difficult/tedious to complete.
I have received more than one survey from King asking if there are too many Events in the game and my answer is always yes. I always add that it isn't the number of Events that I object to but the similarity. Events in Candy Crush have made the game boring for me because they are all based on the same thing. Complete the most new levels or collect the most of a coloured candy. Also most Events come with animations/pop-ups that are yet another cause of frustration.
What @Aries2020 means is that there is no incentive for any of us to play Candy Crush this week as there are no special events in the game, and I agree.
Candy Crush Saga has lost its purpose. It used to be a puzzle solving game with interesting levels and the aim of us to play was to move up the levels by getting past the tricky levels. However since about the beginning of this year the game has become one monotonous mass of almost identical levels, all of which follow the same rules and which can be passed if players follow the same strategy. Therefore passing levels is no longer of any interest by itself. This game has become reliant on events! Therefore if players don't get events that challenge them the game becomes pointless and unenjoyable. King need to sort this out. I completely agree with Aries2020. We need these events in our games to give us something to work towards, a goal and a reason to continue to play. King need to sort this out. Please feed this back to them @MountainMom . @QueenB
I play on Android and ios. And windows. My games are totally up to date. I don't mean that there are NO events. What I mean is, there aren't any actual special events. Nothing to play for, empty. No Top That again for some reason, only Candy Royale is here (thank gd for small miracles...). They shut down Elite Candy Royale all weekend for no reason. This game is otherwise empty and boring when there isn't anything going on...
Hello @Aries2020, the Special events may have been affected with the most recent game update, especially if you play on Windows. The events should reappear soon. Try playing a previous level and restarting your device to see if they return.
