Yeti’s got a giant ice cream to top, and you can help by collecting special candies! The more you collect, the better your chances of winning.

When!

Qualifier round: Collect the featured candy to earn points

Date: 25 - 27 July

Final round: Top players move forward for a chance to win 100 Gold Bars

Date: 29 - 30 July

🍬 A little heads-up...

This tournament is also part of a test! Some of you will be collecting:

Blue Candies
Color Bombs
or Striped Candies

Everything else (the rewards, structure, design) will stay the same for everyone only the candy you need to collect is different.

We know players love to share their scores and screenshots, so you might notice this difference between each other. That’s expected, and we just wanted to be upfront with you from the start 😊

I won the final of this yesterday and was looking forward to my 100 gold bars only to get 30 instead. My score hon the normal game has stopped increasing despite winning games as well. Is anyone else having this problem?

You are not the only person to post here about this. I think the event did not make it crystal clear that this was in two stages. Here is a screenshot of the image you would have seen in the qualifier round and I can see from this how easy it was to misread this.

However if you logged into your game during the final round you should have automatically seen it and participated in that round like I did.

Hello @Angie-14 I am confused by your dates. We saw the Ice Cream Topping event run a qualifier round from 25th to 27th July, the top five players of that round qualified for the final. To gain the gold prize you had to win the finals, which ran from 28th to 30th July. All the information about this event is here in the thread I link. I received the highest score on the weekly ice cream topping on Sunday July 7, 2025. I was supposed to get 100 tickers but I didn’t . I have been playing candy crush for years and have spent a lot of money on the game . I am extremely disappointed about not getting the tickets. Who do I contact about this issue? I am thinking of quitting the game completely.

I had the Colour Bomb version too. Not easy at the higher levels, on average only 3 or 4 bombs per level and of course rarely any in the end-of-level cascades. On the other hand it was quite refreshing to be chasing scores in the thousands, rather than the hundreds of thousands. 8000 won my board.

I can imagine that any opportunity to create a colour bomb + stripe combo is also very useful for this version of the event. I only got the blue candy version, which was boring, but I got through to the next round. I wish they'd swap us round in the final, but that is very doubtful.

I'm glad you're enjoying your version. Unfortunately our favourite go-to level for colour bombs would have got replaced by the meltdown. Good luck in the final!

For the striped candy variation, the 30-min Striped&Wrapped booster that can be obtained for 9 Gold Bars is helpful in case you have striped candies to collect. I buy this on some occasions.
