Actually @Alienscar I think this could be a very silly issue, would you mind trying again now and see if it's solved? I tried on my end and I think I managed to fix it! Thanks to your very detailed explanation it was very easy to pinpoint a potential cause.

Hi @FluffyDinosaur sorry for the delayed response.
This is what I (don't) see.
When I first enter the forum everything appears as it should.
But when I select the Support board this is what I see.
As you can see, no +
It is the same when I then select Candy Corner and back to to Discussion. No +
In Discussions and Candy Corner if I open a thread the + appears

In the Support board the green plus does not appear at all even when I open a thread

The "Quote" doesn't just show a snippet @FluffyDinosaur or if it does, you can open it fully to see. Yes it would be good for replies to end up at the top, so all can see it, without looking for a new reply and scrolling to find it.
Personal preference you say, seems the sub-threads are the community teams preference, even though they don't reply, add posts as much as those already or joining as members.
From the years I've been in the community it's mainly the player members who respond, so wouldn't their preference be best. I don't post much, but I do read what's being said, and I know like others have said, many have stopped posting, possibly because of the new confusing system.

Hope you don't mind me jumping in instead of the other CMs and MountainMom. I'm currently the one troubleshooting issues. This doesn't sound good at all, do you happen to have a screenshot of how it looks on your end? On mobile, the big "+" should display in the bottom right corner of your screen, if it doesn't that's very troubling. I will start testing this on my end too.
On desktop, you will have a button instead on the top right of the page called " + New Post"

Happy to explain! If you use the "quote" button, the reply will end up on the newest spot in the list. So there might be messages in between your reply and the original message. That said, the quote does include a snipped of the original message too, so it also makes it clear who you are responding to. The reply, make it so that your reply displays below the original message. They both fill the same function, I think it's just personal preference what you prefer. Hope that explained it better, otherwise let me know 😊
@QueenB @LoFiGummy @MountainMom I feel daft asking this question, but how do I start a new Discussion or Support thread? The big green + is nowhere to be seen.
It sometimes appears when I first open the forum and it sometimes open a thread or an announcement, but that can't be the the intended method of starting a new thread can it?
When is this issue of posts showing up again as drafts going to be sorted out? It is so confusing when our previous post shows up ready to be sent again, each time we open a thread. Every time, every thread I open I see the last post I made ready to be sent again. This is terrible and needs fixing @QueenB . I mean this: After I posted this it shows up again as if it hadn't been posted at all:
I then have to click on "Discard Reply" to get rid of it, but it sometimes reappears next time I open the thread as well. Needless to say it will confuse people who don't come here very often.

Isn't that what happens when using the "quote" button or as you call it @Carol-38 the "two eyes". The same as the old reply we had.

Oh well @FluffyDinosaur don't think there's much more that can be said then. I see you will continue to use the sub-thread and I will continue to use the two eyes. Guess I'll just join a lot of others then of not bothering to post anymore, or just every now and again, if I feel like it.
Shame, was fun, but guess the Community will do what the Community wants to do, no matter what. Just like King will do whatever King wants to do with the game, no matter what the feedback.

Yes, the sub-thread replies were a Community Team decision so that one is on us.
We are continuously looking at whether the Community would work better with or without them, and we have tested what it would look like to remove them. At the moment, based on the testing we’ve done, we don’t believe removing them would make the Community easier to use overall. The old reply system we had before is also no longer something we can fully go back to in the same way and just removing the sub-threads doesn't make the "quote" button any more visible.
For now, we still believe the sub-thread replies help players reply directly to each other and I personally enjoy using them like this - to make it very clear what message I'm responding to. That said, I do hear your point that in longer discussions they can make threads feel messy and harder to follow, and that is something we need to keep reviewing.
The issues with threads opening on the wrong page and drafts still appearing after being deleted or posted are still known issues, and we’re still working on them. I know they’ve been around for too long, and I understand why that’s frustrating. I don’t have a better update on those today, but they are not being ignored.
Thank you again for being so clear about what you’d like to see changed. This is exactly the kind of specific feedback that helps us review what’s working and what isn’t.

Aaaaah, so it was the Community Team who changed the Replies to the messy, where are they, sub-thread replies. I'm guessing then that, even though that is the one specific thing I would like to see changed, it won't be. Right from the beginning, over 8 months go, many said they didn't like it, and that they'd left other sites because they used it, and it was a mess, which it is. I know some have stopped posting, and some not as much because of the mess these sub-thread replies make. And anyone new to the Community wouldn't have a clue they could use the two eyes, to keep threads and replies tidy.
So will that be looked at or will it just be left as it is, a jumbled mess for all those who can be bothered to scroll for ages, to see what the last post, that gets embedded somewhere so far from the top actually says. What was wrong with the clear, clean way we used to reply.
Looking forward to threads opening on page 1 and not page 4, 5 etc. That was actually posted about over 3 months go by Alienscar, must be a very, very difficult problem to fix 😂.
Also looking forward to my drafts, that are no longer drafts, because I've already posted them, and keep deleting them, to stop showing, when I open the post they were for.

I started this thread to collate all the issues I experience with the community software in one place. It is not the place to complain about community issues in general.
Candy Corner isn't a 'fun' area it is the area to post about anything that isn't directly related to the game of Candy Crush.

So what happened over the weekend is not an update, it seems to be an issue or a bug that we're investigating and trying to keep from happening again.
Vanilla is the provider of the structure the Community Forum is on, if they have updates that impact us they are communicated to us. But most of the updates you see in the community, such as the tags that have been added to posts, are made by us CMs. Just wanted to clarify that this has not been an issue with communication at all 😊
