Candy Crush won’t connect to wifi

i have been having this issue for over a week now and haven’t found a solution. I was almost at level 5000. The circle in the bottom right hand corner tries to connect to the WiFi but never does. I just get a red X. I am not connected through Facebook. I just sign in with my King.com ID. I am playing on an IPad. I deleted and reinstalled the game and now it has me back at level 1. Help!

    Hi. Your solution doesn’t address my specific problem. The game won’t connect to the WiFi on two of my IPads or my iPhone. So my progress saved to king.com won’t load. I think the game itself needs an update to address this.

    Hi again @Bkozooski - have you tried clearing the cache & cookies on each of your devices then? Additionally you need at least 2GB of free space for the games to run properly.

    I’ve cleared the cache and done all the troubleshooting steps. I have way more than enough memory. That is not the issue. I’ve seen a lot of other people posting about the same issue.

    I took my phone off of the WiFi and it updated off the cellular network. But as soon as I turned the WiFi back on it wouldn’t connect again. I can’t do that on the

    Hi @Bkozooski - okay. Thanks for the update. @Xarly or @Elsa have either of you heard any additional reports of WiFi connections issues for Soda?

    I have been having WiFi issues also. It won't connect to the internet and every time I try to login in with my king.com id it keeps saying there is a connection error.

    I found something that works to fix it! I switched my internet connection from my WiFi to my phone as a hotspot. The game finally connected to the internet and updated. Then I switched back to my WiFi connection and it’s fine now!

    False alarm. It updated but once I put it back on WiFi it won’t sync again and connect to the WiFi.

    @Foley1362 I never got your tag.  I am roaming through the community and just came across this message.  Ok guys, let's see what's going on.  I keep hearing off and on about this and the troubleshooting doesn't seem to be helping much.  I have heard that you can uninstall and reinstall your game but if you are playing on a mobile device then you will lose all lives and boosters since they are saved to that device.  Or you can wait until the next game app update, not episode update to see if that will help.  I am going to tag @Xarly who is the community manager to see if he has anymore information.  He might not have gotten the tag above since I didn't get it. 

    @Xarly, is there any further solution to help the players who cannot connect the game with wifi besides uninstalling and reinstalling the game?

    I know that he was extremely busy last week and might not have seen the tag that @Foley1362 posted above.  Hopefully he will see this new tag.
