The lack of earning boosters makes this less interesting
the timed boosters suck as most of the time they don’t apply to the game your playing.
Having to pay for gold bars you’ve earned is wrong.
I guess King isn’t making enough money.

You know, when people work, they expect a paycheck at the end of the work period. They'd be pretty stupid to settle for an "Atta Boy" or a pat on the back.
When we invest time in a game, we anticipate some advance in our point count or in this case, a booster of some sort when we pass a level. To have 3 sparkly stars appear means nothing unless there is some other value that improves our score or advances our play in some way. These stars have the same value as the golden crowns for passing a level on the first trial--0.

I think the stinginess of boosters over the last year may signal a decline in designers' ability to create new levels or something...otherwise, why not restore the space ships, which over 5 trials yields a good batch of boosters.

You are right. Getting harder and harder to get and save boosters. King just wants you to spend money. Sad not enjoyable any more. I’m on level 4675. Need boosters.

I’m still trying to determine if getting multiple sugar stars in an episode is of some reward? I’m not able to do it consistently yet. Since this is in testing—perhaps the idea is to do that in the future—give rewards for various collected amounts. I was so excited the first few times I hit the stars but the excitement has quickly waned now that I realize that nothing happens.

Sugar Stars just look pretty but give no award, just like the Golden Crown you receive for passing a level on your 1st try. They are pleasing to look at on your map! Hehe!

Really dislike timed boosters 99% of the time their useless. Just another way of King wanting you to spend money.
You get nothing for the sugar stars. No longer build your boosters

The idea of achieving the blue stars is in itself a nice feature however I do believe an award of some kind would compliment this - maybe a hidden bonus level???

I did not start getting sugar stars till level 2347 and they only appear after I've gotten 3 stars and kept racking up points, which leades me to believe they are to show you have gotten well over 3 stars. I think the sugar stars are an interesting new add they may not give rewards , but they are another side goal to work on in order to make the game more challenging by not only passing the levels but achieving 3+ stars as well.

That post is not of any help at all. The point is of what value is there winning the sugar stars if we do not receive an award (and not a timed one) for doing so?

The sugar stars may be visually appealing and give a new target score but at the very least there should be some type of reward for achieving the sugar stars particularly as we now have the dreaded timed rewards.

I remember when King would award trophies for an episode if you completed it with a certain amount of levels completed the first time. I love the new Sugar Stars feature. As I was up to date with the levels, it gave me a chance to go back and truly master many of them. I used to aspire for 3 stars or the highest score, now I can move on from a level with recognition.
It’s unlikely I’ll do all the levels over, nearly 5000 now, but it will give me an excuse to revisit my favorites.

Second of all - thank you for the screenshot @Salamander413. This is obviously a new feature that is being tested and not everyone has it (I do not). King periodically does this to test out new ideas in order to try and keep the game fresh and interesting. I will tag the community moderator @Jelly Jenny and she should be able to shed some light on this subject tomorrow.

I have these sugar stars in my game and about the same time they appeared my timed boosters I had won disappeared. They were in my inventory but not in the game to use. Is this a coincidence or a problem with the new update? The fish, wheel, freckles and packet + striped were there, but not available to use in the game, then the timers all ran out!

@Jelly Jenny actually the graphic is quite large and is bothersome as it delays next move until it goes away. Would you kindly pass along this feedback? I think most would agree that busy graphics do not increase any type of enjoyment,
