I completely agree with you kiki. I'm on level 4931. It gets really hard as you try to advance. I'm grateful for the unlimited lives, but when you have to play a level 55 TIMES to get to the next level, it's still no fun. Boosters available in build a bot allowed you to at least gain more moves. I, too, would purchase some boosters to help on those really tough levels.
I've noticed that with the free play, they've also requested more money to purchase additional moves when you die. Has anyone else noticed that? I see it varies each time... sometimes it remains at the first level of 5 moves, other times it's 7 - 12 additional moves. The hitch is you have to purchase gold bars in order to play on. I don't find that funny. I find that to be a red herring: 'come play for free... but oh, you'll need gold bars to purchase play on boosters; you may have free lives, but no other help without a purchase.' What good is that? At least with build a bot, you could earn your way up through skilled play.
I'm not an ingrate. However, I am frustrated by what King is and is not doing.

Better late than never...
I really hope you'll bring back the build a bot feature as it was before, with replaying old levels etc. It honestly was much more fun that way and I know a lot of my friends stopped or are thinking of stopping to play CC because King changed it. There are soooooo many very hard levels that people without boosts get frustrated super fast. And yes, I play all events etc but honestly without using at least 1 or 2 boosts every level I have to repeat them dozens of times... I'm level 2962 and as I really liked the game I supported King by buying lifes and boost but now it really seems much too frustrating. Pretty sad that King doesn't recognize this and doesn't listen to their customers.
Of course of course you can even write in japanese, we are here to understand you. At the end of the day who can claim english is the universal language lol :))))))))

Is this the only way to make an effect?
I too needed to seriously decrease my play time and this has been it.
You would think that the powers that be at King would not pick a time like this to decide to be greedy jerks, but I guess I'm wrong about that. No sugar track, no Build a Bot for previous levels and near impossible levels without boosters. Not even remotely fun anymore. Oh well, I have been looking for a way to quit playing Candy Crush and this is it.
I don't care about new levels. I enjoy playing a previous level with Build-a-Bot. If these horrible people do not change it back, I am just going to stop playing the game. It is really something that they would do this crap at a time like this.
Pardon the sarcasm, but how are we supposed to get from 4900 to 6000???
I play my 5 lives a day and quit when I die. I used to play 10 - 30 games a day. Without some viable way to play - and beat - current levels, there's not much to keep one interested.
Apparently Build a Bot is being dropped because new levels are going to be easier, so unless we are already at the end of the saga I'm afraid we're stuffed!
There are two ways of looking at this change. 1) Get upset because it makes the game less fun to play. 2) Be happy because it provides an excuse to stop playing. :-)

The studio appears to doing some testing with timed boosters. First a large group of people lost the ability to get regular boosters from collecting sugar drops and got timed boosters instead. Now it appears that some people are getting timed boosters for the daily calendar and some said they even get some with the daily…
Collecting Sugar Drops has been an integral part of the game and a much loved feature where players had the opportunity to collect them and earn free rewards every day. It now appears the studio plans to take it away. Please vote here if you want the studio to bring back this ability.

Many Candy Crush Saga players would like to see more opportunities to win the UFO and Party boosters. How about adding them to the Daily Treat Calendar?
