What goes around comes around as my mother used to day. King will get its comeuppance sooner or later - as will all those companies who have taken advantage of people through this testing time.
Playing other games on my phone there are adverts for CCS that consists of a page of candies that match together to give a plethora of sprinkle bombs. Not a blocker, jelly, chocolate etc in sight. Bears no resemblance to the game.People who fall for it and download will but very disappointed at the reality that confronts them.

King's Candy Crush Saga has been dethroned for the first time since November 2012 as the highest monthly global consumer spend in a mobile game.
This was confirmed via mobile data and insights firm App Annie, stating that Playrix's Gardenscapes was the first match-three or match plus build game to take the title away from Candy Crush. Specifically, this was for the month of April 2020 across iOS and Google Play.
Candy Crush Saga still remains one of the top games for consumer spending and has remained a huge force in the mobile games industry since launching in April 2012.
With more people indoors as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, the question remains whether Gardenscapes is able to replicate the success, or if it was down to unusual circumstances globally.
Global consumer spend
Playrix was further confirmed to be the number two mobile company by consumer spend globally in games and apps across iOS and Google Play in April 2020.
The match-three puzzler has continued to drive revenue for the company, surpassing the $1.5 billion lifetime mark in December.

May answer your question @FluffBall
Another one who understood that it is crazy to spend money for playing ... CC gained millions until now and it is awful they are making the game impossible to push people to spend even more. The only result they've reached is that they lost position number one and CCS will disappear as million of people are like you ... It is acceptable to play a DIFFICULT game, not an IMPOSSIBLE one.
@FluffBall the game is Cookie Jam. Very similar in the ways you eliminate chocolate and waffle squares. I like its graphics and colours. There are timed boosters and you also climb a bot for rewards. The levels so far are very enjoyable and passable. I reached 253 level for less than a week. As I said in an earlier post, I will never buy another booster ever, and I will play just to kill time while in lockdown. :-)
The telephone tier is a waste of time. Twice reached level 5 only to come back down
Appreciated thank you
May be a clue here @FluffBall
You’ve done well,,I’ve never got passed the 3rd level, yet and I’ve tried it a lot
I agree, the telephone game is very difficult. I managed to win it twice, but the second time I had to use two lollipop hammers, so I broke even on the hammers. I just kept trying because I'm waiting for the new levels to be released and had plenty of time to try. I was a bit stubborn to reach the top. But it is really is not worth it. Three times I reached level five and dropped down! Very annoying!
