This error message comes up of various reasons.
Next time you have the chronicles collected and try to buy the offer, please make a small video of the purchase process. Where you can see what goes wrong
Then email Player Support from the game's Settings and Help Center (you can also email in Finnish).
Let them know what happened and also tell them the exact date and time when you tried to purchase. They can then check your game data back in time and check what went wrong.
You cannot send the video in your first contact, but have it saved in case the Player Support replies asking for it. You can then attach it to your email when replying.

Slow internet, Game not connected, or some other reason, you may face such problems. You can check out some troubleshooting below.
Reset/Clear cache data from App Store - Check app update - Log out game - Restart Device - Open game and Log in.

Well, I can try what Kiara said but it doesn't help me any more because the offer ended. ๐ And I find it peculiar that I can do the normal shopping.
I can't even say what was the name of the offer because it wasn't in English. ๐ Something about collecting scrolls, I think.
