I have the same problem! I play on my Kindle Fire for the last 7 years and it's always been fine until March 28. I even went so far as to reset the Kindle to factory defaults and reload the game after all that, I'm still not able to fully open the game. I just get the orange screen with KING written across and then it closes after about 30 seconds. I emailed King and so far, no response. I hope they fix this soon. It has to be a bug on their end when they did an update.

It is doubtful that any fixes will be released during the weekend. It seems that re-installation of the latest update doesn't work, so if you haven't uninstalled yet, don't! or all your saved inventory will be lost. Please wait for a new update on Amazon.
Is there any way to roll back or un-install the update?
You can do for Android but it is tricky if you want to save your boosters. Involves enabling developer settings on the tablet and using ADB which needs some scripting knowledge and a bit of tech savvy. Also involves using APK files which have no guarantee that they haven't been doctored as they don't come directly from Amazon's store. Then there is also no guarantee that the problem isn't in the saved data. It would be better to wait and see if the next update cures it.

I am having the same issue. This is now 3rd day ! Come on King, PLEASE help us out !!
Players in the Windows 10 app have also had the problem since the May 28 update. Unfortunately there are Whitsun Holidays. I hope King will fix it on Tuesday. The home office doesn't seem to work with King
