Heya! Thanks for the tags @pearl_chetna @Diamond Lim
The festivals I celebrate is Diwali! Diwali means a row of lights. Itβs a festival of new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness. It lasts five days and itβs the start of the new year for the Hindu Calendar. It marks the return of Rama andΒ Sita the city ofΒ Ayodhya, after defeating the evil kingΒ Ravana! Itβs a enjoyable event with fireworks/firework events, family gatherings, parties. Exchanging tasty Indian sweets and eating tasty food.
Holi the exciting festival of colours! It represents good over evil. Itβs a spring event and itβs when people wear white clothes and have different coloured powders. They throw it on each other to make each otherβs clothes colourful! Itβs really fun and enjoyable.
We have Carnival too as a festival on a national scale. People, but mostly kids, come together and dress up. (Before the pandemic, that is). There are food, sweets and music. Every city has its own floats parade since, actually, the parades travel through a bunch of cities. Usually the floats are an occasion to mock politicians. π
The famous and sophisticated ones at Venice, Viareggio, Sanremo get tv coverage every year π

Sanremo's floats are all made with flowers because Sanremo is also known as City of Flowers. In the pic there's the float that won the best float contest last year, apparently π
