What happened to the bonus life you can get after you use up your first five lives?? Still haven't heard anything that tells me when it will be fixed.

Imagine my surprise when I was not able to compete for any gold bars in a section. It has disappeared, along with the bonus round at the end on my five lives. What's up with that???
