Why is the touch screen not working anymore with candy crush on my laptop?

I have an ASUS laptop, windows 8 and I have been playing CC for over 3 years from this same laptop and used the touch screen. Now you changed the format of the game and the touch screen is no longer working. You have changed the format before not long ago when the gameroom started. I am not using the gameroom app but I playing through facebook. It is difficult to play the timed levels with a mouse pad. Can you fix this glitch???
