Can't use my available bars

I have 30 gold bars available to continue my game but am unable to use them. I keep getting a message that says 'the store is unavailable.' This only happens with this game when I play on my Android phone but not my tablet and not with Candy Crush Saga.

I don't play on Facebook. I just pull up the app on my phone to play.
