I am having the exact same problem since yesterday. I tried all the suggested fixes and none them worked. I'm using the app on Amazon fire 7 and until yesterday it's worked fine for years.

Hello, yes I did the trouble shooting, I log in through my Facebook account and I pay on a Kindle Fire.I just don't understand why this is happening. I don't want to restart the game because I'm high up in the upper levels.

Hello @honey1976 If you were to uninstall and reinstall (which is always the last solution) and you've saved your game, you'll find your gold and progress back. Boosters are stored in the memory of your device so you will lose them!

@honey1976 If you can't give me info, that's fine too, then I recommend contacting Player Support directly from your device. They then see more data directly, we don't have access to that kind of information in the Community.
To contact them:
-Open the game app —> tap on the blue gear
- Tap on the ? mark
- Tap on Lives/Messages
- Select “What should I do if I’m not receiving messages from friends”
- Scroll down to the bottom and tap "Contact Us"

I do see the button to accept lives, but when I click on it, nothing happens.
I have tried playing both via facebook account and King account and the same thing happens.
I use the app which has the latest version downloaded.
The operating system is amazon fire 7 (5th Generation) which I believe is not android but amazon's own OS.
